Re: Rayman Redemption
Funny how a lot of the powerups end up being irritating later. The paint fist is cool but putting yin yangs on them was not!

Re: Rayman Redemption
Oh yes, paint fist + yin-yangs = nightmare. I eventually figured out a trick to it, but I'm not sure I could replicate it now…

If you remember the trick, please teach it to me. Those and the basketball are highly annoying to me.

It's a technique, but it's still quite tricky!

Re: Rayman Redemption
Ah, yes, the paint fist with yin-yangs gave me much trouble. One of the only things that legitimately frustrated me in Redemption. The trick does work, but it can be a pain to pull off sometimes.

Re: Rayman Redemption
I will keep this in mind on my next playthough of Redemption. Thx!PluMGMK wrote: Sat Aug 22, 2020 2:24 pmThe Jonster wrote: Sat Aug 22, 2020 2:18 pm If you remember the trick, please teach it to me. Those and the basketball are highly annoying to me.You get the yin-yang to the left of the paintable section.
You stand on the very left of it as it's bouncing.
You punch when it's at the top of its bounce, so Rayman paints the background as it's coming down.
You jump once, so the yin-yang bounces a bit higher and lands on the new paint.
Repeat the punching and jumping until you reach the top.
It's a technique, but it's still quite tricky!

Re: Rayman Redemption
Man, I really want to try this Rayman Redemption.
Most of the feedbacks are very positive, and I really enjoyed the previous fangame of Raymanni, The Dark Magician's Reign of Terror.
I don't have a lot of time to play video games for now. I wish I had. Hope I will find a moment to play it soon.

Re: Rayman Redemption
I haven't finished it yet myself, but from what I've played so far, it's actually pretty amazing. You wouldn't even realise you were playing a fangame that was made with Game Maker.

I know I am in for a lot of pain later on in Rayman Redemption so I think I will file this for future use.PluMGMK wrote: Sat Aug 22, 2020 2:24 pmYou get the yin-yang to the left of the paintable section.

Re: Rayman Redemption
Yeah Redemption is a lot of fun. I definitely enjoyed the game when I played.
Speaking of the Dark Magician's Reign of Terror, I still need to write my own thoughts on it.

Re: Rayman Redemption
I don't know if it will still be fun if I try demise though, that sounds more like torture.

Re: Rayman Redemption
Yeah, that was hard, but still not as hard as getting out of that area with the yellow rings.
I also spent some time on the basketball. It could have been a lot better if the way you punched it (like, fully charged fist or not) yielded consistent results in terms of distance covered by the ball, but it felt completely nondeterministic, especially with quick shots. Had it been more consistent, it would have made for a nice puzzle (eg. not charged, then fully charged, then not charged again, etc.) instead of a rather frustrating semi-random, trial-and-error experience.

Re: Rayman Redemption
It took me a bunch of tries before I finally got it to the other side and grab the item on the ledge in Playtopia (I think it was a token).

Not sure which one is my least favourite, heh.
That minigame is the reason I stopped liking those rings, kept falling back down when I wanted to go up. Small compensation that you get unlimited time when you can still get killed in each of the potion type minigames.Hunchman801 wrote: Sat Aug 22, 2020 1:55 pmI'm not even trying that one!The Jonster wrote: Sat Aug 22, 2020 1:45 pm In that case you might find Band Land's third minigame awful.![]()
