I don’t think covid tests look for colds.

I overheard the doctors testing us, the sample they took from my brother was discoloring the liquid they use to determine if we got COVID or not. And they [the doctors] pointed out my brother's eyelids, he looked like death. We normally don't look as terrible when we get the common cold. He does have COVID-19, and my dad is high risk.

We're hoping what my brother has is just a cold.

And what I meant by that is that I hope that this can't be happening to one of us. I've read enough heartbreaking stories about people losing their loved ones to COVID, that it's very real, it's dangerous, and not some stupid hoax to scare us into not vaccinating or starting riots that can be a hazard to public safety and health. I know my brother since birth and he isn't a great person. But I know he doesn't deserve this. He may not treat me or mom with respect and he hates half of my friends, but he works really hard and he has a good reputation in the community he's in. Rant over.

+ I got a new computer chair.
It was actually for my brother, but it wasn't what he was looking for. The one he'd like better will be on me.

+ Brother and father are recovering.
It has been rough on all of us, but we've made it. We might have to take another test at some point.

+ Nintendo Switch port of Crash 4 got announced today!
- Someone in my house opened the other side of a previously opened box of cereal, which made a bit of a mess when I tried to have some earlier

+ I was playing Half Life recently since I never have before, it's a good game so far.
- It's still impossible to get a PS5.

- My left leg is stiff.
- Can't relax properly
- My period is making this situation difficult for me and my family.

+ My temporary bed is set up.

- Messed up my sleep pattern a lot from trying to get up early.
- Will probably need a checkup sooner rather than later (probably an endoscopy).

+ Been in a better mood lately despite the minuses.

+ The... healing exercise therapy thing has started. This friday I'll have to come back to the physiotherapist to start making progress.
+ Things are going alright, I was very skeptical at first of how this will play out. But it's better than the 'revalidation clinic' my mother was telling me about.

- Woke up with a huge pain in the neck this morning. It used to happen often in the past and then things calmed down in recent years so I hope it's not starting again.

+ I had a bunch of assignments and I finally got them finished. Along with a presentation I had to do. It went well, it was better than I expected
+ A new episode of my favourite anime series, Jujustu Kaisen is out today. I read the lastest chapter too, it was dope as hell.
+ Playing Disgaea is really getting back into tactical RPGs recently. I haven't played them in a while. It's totally worth it.

- I have been really tried from the all-nighters I had. I need to sleep.

+ Tonight's physiotherapy session went smooth. Will come back next week to make further progress.
+ Feeling good after that

I get anxious too, but in my case I just had to stop doing things where I wasn't even acting like myself anymore. I'm really not sure what I was thinking at times, I even pissed people off that I liked unintentionally. Regardless, I just think it's better to be yourself, just like I'll be from now on, which is what everyone seen in 2018.

With that being said:

+ Built LFS again and had it actually boot.

- Some small things are a little off, but those can be fixed. My first build was really temperamental for a long time before I had it stable after all.

Oh, ouch

+ Finally got a better mouse, meaning I won't have to deal with the mouse double-clicking even when I don't click the button twice (I had a USB wireless one before). This is how it looks:

+ It also feels a lot more comfortable since it's not so small and the design makes it ergonomic too.
