< didn't realize it was St. Patrick's Day today but wishes everyone a good holiday!
< helped family clean up the dead leaves in the yard (because of that snow storm) despite the high winds today.
< felt happy to have helped out even if it was just holding open the leaf bag for the others. :proud:
< is also new to the game and hopes to have done it right.

< says thanks, and hopes that ^ had a good day too. < thinks that little chores like that can sometimes make a person feel better later in the day, just to know they done something. :)

< also says that ^ done it right. ;)

< agrees with ^ and is glad to have understood the game's structure correctly.
< is better at watching others do things and following along after to learn, rather than taking charge first.
< blames having played too much Kirby's Adventure and Megaman 1 as a young child for this mimicking behavior.
< is admittedly a bit of slacker most times when it comes to work but <'s help is appreciated by family which makes < glad to have helped.

< thinks the appreciation is the best part, and motivates a person a lot. Usually if someone doesn't get any appreciation after putting in effort, it can demoralise them. Sometimes someone simply saying thanks or telling a person their work is appreciated can make a world of difference.

< enjoyed it, even without the crowds and parades etc. < is just used to there being such a huge parade in Dublin City that it's televised, but with COVID they don't even have the crowds or anything so it feels a bit weird.

< wonders if anyone else has any comments on the new ranklist that Elite and < have been working on: https://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/User:PluMG ... evelopment

< would love to get it implemented in early Q2 2021, but we'll see… :noel:

< just played GTA for a bit with some of <'s friends and relatives over the weekend since we hadn't played in some time. < also likes ^^s ranklist, < isn't sure if < can suggest any changes off the top of <'s head.

Thanks to this whole Bégoniax / Razoff discussion following on from the newly-discovered Rayman 3 demo, < is once again pondering the fate of the Knaaren

< is glad ^ likes the list. If nobody else has any issues with it, < will probably move onto the next step this week, which < guesses is figuring out the Ting levels. < wonders how controversial that will be! :fou2:

< thinks we've all done pretty stupid things here, now it's a matter of learning from them and not doing the same mistakes again!

< vaguely remembers that Mafia game about the French revolution. < messed up badly in it too, yet look where < is now!

Basically, < reiterates exactly what ^ said!

< thinks that's the best way to move forward, learning from mistakes. Like, if someone deleted system32 or ran "sudo rm -rf /*", I'm sure they'd learn never to do it again. :P

Oh so that's how it happened? It was reading an environmental variable as blank, hence "rm -rf /*", ouch... < uses a hidden folder in the home directory for <'s packages, and while it's not the greatest written Python code on the planet, it tends to work pretty well until they change links or something ends up needing a patch (that's when I have to alter the script manually after it errors).

< still has no idea how to get gobject-introspection to compile successfully in 32-bit, but < will work on that later. < only needs it for a 32-bit version of gtk just to run Deflemask because for some reason it's 32-bit, though < can still just use the Windows version of Deflemask and have it work with wine despite the Linux native one being missing dependencies.

Yeah < would hate that to happen, especially since it's not as simple as a quick 10 minute reinstall. The only thing that could save it in this case is having a backup.
