Re: Rayman 3
Are textures of the Hoodlums available somewhere to download? I would love to make some profile pictures of their flattened faces

Fantastic! Thank you so much, I've been looking for that for a long time, especially for textures of unused Hoodlums, like Kaagalpha

Re: Rayman 3
Hi all,
I’m sharing this video of Rayman 3 running on Valve’s Steam Deck. I asked over on the Rayman Reddit sub, and a user by the name of “Efigr” kindly tested it for us!
It even has gyro controls as shown in the video attached:

Finally, Rayman 3 on the go for real.

That's really nice to know, thanks for sharing the video with us!
Re: Rayman 3
Well if there were anything that could get me to consider buying a Steam Deck that would be it.

Re: Rayman 3
I learned from a Nintendo Life article that the online capabilties for Rayman 3 HD are going down and also Rayman Legends PC. I thought Rayman Legends on PC was already down but I don't get it. It also mentioned Rayman Origins. Just see the article for yourself.
Edit: Now I know that the Rayman Legends servers for PC were actually already down. Ignore what I said.
The NL article also linked the Ubisoft announcement: https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/help/arti ... oLoginData

Re: Rayman 3
I wonder if there's still a way to generate codes in Rayman 3 HD and enter them in our Hall of Fame.

Re: Rayman 3
There was a way, something tells me it might get easier with the online functionality nerfed
And that's a bad thing, because they'll look like Xbox codes, even though the scoring works completely differently to the actual Xbox version

Re: Rayman 3
Thought I remembered something like this.
Surely we could add support for a new platform now we have both the encryption and decryption algorithms, but it's pretty useless if we can't modify the game to display the updated code.

Re: Rayman 3
Iirc the algorithm could support up to 32 platforms in total, but yeah, if the game doesn't cooperate, there's not much you can do...
Re: Rayman 3
Just a random thought I had the other day but, does anyone know why the hoodlums had red eyes in some of the promo and box art? And the opening cinematic for the game come to think of it. As far as I can tell t he concept are pretty much always had the cross eyed look that we see in the game itself. So what’s with the glowing red eyes in those specific places?

Re: Rayman 3
I think the red-eyed Hoodlum is supposed to be André himself (certainly in the opening cutscene), who is much more intelligent than all the others.
Re: Rayman 3
I suppose that makes sense. But I feel like they’d have been able to make his eyes red in the game itself since he’s the first hoodlum you face in the game (albeit held back by Murphy).
Re: Rayman 3
Here’s a story from my day. I’ve got a friend who pretty much refused to get into the Rayman series no matter how much I recommended it to him. His only real experience with the series was playing Legends with me one time. And well. He likes the Rabbids series. Anyway so he ended up proposing a deal that if I agreed to try Mario Rabbids Kingdom Battle that he would try a Rayman game. I agreed to his terms and suggested he play Rayman 3. I know most people would probably say 2 but 3 is my favorite so I recommended he play 3. Anyway so I ordered Kingdom Battle which I now need to wait for but he decided to download the HD version of 3 right away. And now he’s apparently hooked and told me that I lost out on the deal because he got to experience the better game. But yeah I just thought it was a cool little thing that happened and I appreciate that my friend now has a better understanding of why I love the series so much. Course now I need to play a post Rayman Rabbids game but hey that’s life.

Re: Rayman 3
I've heard Kingdom Battle isn't that bad…
Re: Rayman 3
Hopefully it isn’t so bad. I still have no doubt that I am not going to like it as much as I do Rayman 3.

Re: Rayman 3
Found this interesting:
Rayman goes for a walk through some areas he never walked through before.
These mods were made possible using information provided by Raymap: https://youtu.be/fZVKhfZoM94
The "debug super helicopter" is a developer cheat left in the GameCube version of Rayman 3, possible to activate only by editing 2 bits. The other modifications shown here are also single-bit changes, simply disabling AI of objects that would otherwise deactivate Rayman.
