The You Game!

< just put <'s smartphone in the (unplugged!) microwave and was still able to ping it over 2.4 GHz WiFi, despite the fact that the microwave is supposed to shield 2.45 GHz waves. < is disturbed by this unexpected success :?

EDIT: < tried it again 12 hours later and this time the phone did indeed lose the WiFi signal, as expected. This is quite odd…

< Wishes it was October already < Can't take it anymore, and < has to work tomorrow (unpaid even!)

< also found something weird. < searched "raymind rayman" and < found out that the website still exists. < is confused. Apparently, RayMind websites have an updated copyright date. (2002-2022, RaymanBD has 2001-2022), < is just so confused that it exists. :?:
< made it so that the copyright year would also be up to date, but the website hasn't seen any changes in a very, very long time.

< thinks it's interesting that it worked. Maybe this can be a test to see if microwaves are actually safely shielded hehe.

Yeah, that's what < was getting at. < isn't sure how much microwave power is used for pings, but if it could get through the shield sufficiently unattenuated, then how much of the cooking power gets out, < wonders! But then, maybe the router and phone boosted the power really high to get those pings through (so why didn't <'s hand get cooked when taking the phone out afterwards? :fou2:)… At least < wasn't able to do anything more sophisticated than pinging. Like, trying to set up an SSH session just hung.

One of <'s laptop fans has been acting weird lately. Like it will stop and then start running again and it's been loud, and this has been getting worse since last week. < hopes that it is just a dusty fan, but < is going to open the back cover sometime this week when < has time.

^ is trying what game out? One of the Rayman games?
< thinks reading the topic title may help. :P

(< doesn’t know how else to word it – <’s sorry if it comes off as condescending.)

Also, < welcomes ^^! < hopes you’ll enjoy the place!

Well < was able to open the back cover and clean the fan and the area around it. It's running now but now it's loud and constantly runs, and < doesn't feel any air coming from the vents, so there's still issues to deal with. <'s going to be attending class on campus next month so < needs to deal with this sooner rather than later. :tssk:

< is trying to figure out why the laptop's fan suddenly accelerates for a minute after waking it from suspension mode , < tried some solutions from Microsoft websites, but the issue remains.

< got to see Neo and another friend in person recently last week. Especially since we got Splatoon 3 and hung out in person. 8)

< met Hoodcom for the first time after 10+ years it is still sinking in, but it was a blast.
