I might have smashed it

This is funny. I had that happen to me as well and I already posted about it here.

Rayman's green gem was left here by accident. He wants to get the last Murphy Stamp and this will help. :P Please give it back to him. (This is part of Find Rayman's Stuff) :?:

I took a much longer break from this game than I had intended, and I had to improve in more levels than I expected to be able to do it, but I have done it:
rayman3572502.png
I've beaten the score currently marked on the wiki's hall of fame as being the highest on PC in the US:
rayman3hof.png
rayman3hof.png (11.45 KiB) Viewed 2685 times
(Or, at least, currently as of writing this, anyways)

And honestly I dunno how to improve further at this point, outside of just learning how to take advantage of glitches and such. Feel like I've hit my limit here in terms of how much I can raise my score just by improving raw gameplay, but being this close to 600k it looks like I'm gonna have to figure out how to surpass what I'm physically capable of just because crossing that new threshold is definitely possible, and not all that far away. I do know I did leave a lot of stuff done not quite as well as I probably could have, so there's some small improvements to be made here and there, but in general I think this is the best I can do without learning more tricks.

Since my score in LOTLD is the highest so far and in the 90k area, I think I might shift my focus now to pushing that over 100k and make that my first six-figure level. That should be an interesting grind.

Well done! I'm not exactly sure what is the maximum score one can get without using glitches, but I have a feeling you're getting close. As for LOTLD, it's probably the easiest level to get 100k in, so go for it!

I don't think you can search names, sadly, but your score is currently on this page. :D

Is there a way to see your score code after having already completed the game? Like, y'know, it shows it to you once you beat the game, but if you then just close that down, is there a way to see it again anywhere? I can't seem to find anything.

You should be able to get it from the "Lums Race" item on the bonus menu

Wow, I just found out about this.... I thought there wouldn't even be a server to record your score anymore!

When I came back to play this videogame after so long, I set myself as a personal challenge to try to get the highest score possible... I had to replay it for the "first time" to remember the mechanics, how the combo system worked and to see how I could get as many points as possible. After a second run, my score was 574,969. I thought that was an excellent score, but I guess I'll have to watch some tutorial or some guide to improve the combos, those scores at the Hall of Fame are simply amazing  .

TFC: 26388 | CF: 71081 | BOM: 43786 | TLOTLD: 100035 | TDOTK: 81857 | TLS: 37460 | TSBTC: 55845 | HH: 78109 | TTOL: 80408

I could have scored a few more points if the counter had not stopped at TLOTLD. I don't know if it's because of the PS2 version or because the counter always stops at 100k.

This is actually a really good score if you weren't following any tutorials that detail how to make the most of the glitches in the game to get the highest scores. You must have managed some pretty hard combos already!

Oh wow, you already hit 100k in the Land of the Livid Dead! I've still never managed that, though I've come close… The counter always gets stuck at 100k, except in the HD versions, which are not accepted in the HoF for that reason (and possibly others)…

Awesome scores indeed, as you were told already. One thing you can easily improve is TLS, where it is possible to get over 40K points.

Thanks! Yes, I have to admit that some were a bit convoluted, but I was able to execute a few good combos. Still, I know there's room for improvement on some of them, though I think I'll give it a try from here for a while so I don't end up burning out :fou2: .

I suppose there will be videos explaining it much better and getting better results, but I found it quite useful to combine all the lums from the beginning and combine in part 3 the lums from the portal with the lums from under the bridge (yes, it's a bit kamikaze, but after restarting the level a few times I got it).

And if you feel like improving your score further, the first page of this topic has walkthroughs that are far from easy but will get you much, much closer to the current high scores. :D

Would not recommend, past 800k the gameplay tends to get depressing :P

I think this might be another one for my collection :hap:

It's been too long since I last played Rayman 3, kinda dreading it at this point tbh :mefiant:

Same here. Scoring has gotten really dank over the past couple of years, and while there is stuff I'd still like to do, I'm not willing to spend months or even years playing the same part over and over. "Dread" is a pretty good way to describe it :oops2:

Considering your highest score has been over 900K and well over what most of the community has achieved, that's understandable. I don't think any amount of skill or practice I do would ever land me a score that high, mainly because of my impatience. Somewhat ironic given that I play Mario Kart Tour. :oops2:

In the past I have found scoring in TLS to be rather frustrating after you've found all the hidden areas. Maybe that's just me and how much I actually despise playing with the shoe kart, despite how much I like its music. Having said that, nice score Dave! :)

I'd say you have a decent chance of improving from your previous high score. I have less of a chance of improving without practicing again, and looking at other members' combo videos and practicing techniques. Plus, I haven't played the game in a long time either and I'm too lazy to remap my keyboard (the key between z and c is broken), among other things. While I do think that I can improve further, I'm happy to have made it this far. :)

maybe I should record videos too if i ever make a higher score in case people think i cheat (which i don't these days), forgot to do it the last time...

I agree with y'all. Getting a score which goes way beyond the normal gameplay would probably end up in an exhausting an frustrating experience (I don't think I've discovered something new with this statement ). It must be very interesting to try new combos, but that's precisely the main reason of why I don't want to try it out anytime soon, I don't want to spend the few free time I have frustrated and restating CF over and over .

Man, if you scored those points playing with a keyboard, you must definitely play the game with a controller (nowadays they don't have many compatibility problems). It will definitely make things 100000 times easier for you to get the combos.
