I like the standees. While there are a few issues with them, overall the idea is very cool - it will make Rayman fans excited to play through each level again and see what new reference is waiting for them at the end of each level. I like the art gallery as well - especially that they made it explorable in-game, and not just a menu. Design-wise it leaves a lot to be desired, but maybe we can't expect too much from the studio that made Rayman's Incrediballs: Dodge. :lol:

Just like how Murfy remains trapped in the same animation (one that exists in the original version of Origins) throughout the entire trailer. It looks so bad. I suppose it would have been too much to ask to port the Legends animations or make new ones for different actions like being stuck in a bubble, grabbing a relic, flying in place or moving. Good thing this feature is limited to a cheat (Murfy's Assist Murphy's Assist :fou: ), one which I'll never use - otherwise I'm not sure if I would be able to stand this.

Fret not; they've said in the game's description that they added 50 new standees to the game, so there's still 31(!) of them that we haven't seen yet. Similarly, the trailer only showed off 5 of the confirmed 18 new skins, so we still have 13 to discover for ourselves. :)

The skins we've seen so far are all from Legends and the mobile games, but I'm still hoping for at least a couple based on older games; not sure if his presence on a standee takes Tarayzan out of the running, but I really hope it doesn't. :sad:

I'm only just now seeing this, so I'll give my opinion as well. Personally, I wouldn't mind merging the articles; like boomboleros said, the different spiky vines seem similar enough to warrant it.

As for the name, while I've always been partial to "Darkroots," that name really only fits with the ones from Origins, which actually looked like they were in the same family as Darktoons. I'd say that giant bramble, thorn vine, or spiky root would all work as a catch-all name.

They're just called "friendly roots" in the files for Legends. :hap:
