)
Merci beaucoup ! I'll reply in English as it should be easier for everyone and I don't have enough time to translate right now (and my brain is so tired this late and after everything today

). We can always move the conversation to an English topic if needed (And don't worry about your French here, it's not the easiest language!

).
Well, compared to Dumbo, I think I'm far from being that much of a UbiArt guy, as much as I love these games as their own platformers!
(and I'm gonna avoid joking about any "bonus cutscenes" this time or he may hijack two more unrelated topics over it and start looking for me with a knife
).
[I'm sorry for my sins, Dumbo!
]
Seems like I'm gonna share a few similar things to what you and Dumbo said since it's hard to decide as well, because there are different things I prefer in Origins and Legends!
I prefer Legends' visuals, music and gameplay (except for the Lum system which I find a bit tedious at times compared to Origins), but I prefer what Origins did with its worlds and some of its level design as well as a few interesting throwbacks.
Legends feels a bit too removed from Rayman to me, especially for the """story""" which literally didn't care (why did nobody woke up the heroes when they could have done so at any time while the nightmares were already causing chaos in the Glade!? Why wait so many years!? And why do they suddenly sleep for centuries, did they really become this lazy and irresponsible!?... They managed to make a plot that doesn't make sense when they tried to have no story!

)... Though at least I appreciate that this one didn't tell me that some of the characters and lore elements I grew up with were lies all along while claiming to be "back to the origins".
What the heck did they do with Betilla, Magician and mah thingamajigs!? >:(
The older games are far more of my thing, especially Rayman 1! Though I won't deny they're not perfect either and they had their own share of flaws and inconsistencies (why did 3 suddenly forgot about Globox's family? Globox in the Hoodlum Headquarters is literally cheating on his wife!

)...
I still think the UbiArt ones are absolutely incredible as their own games, but-...
(*looks carefully around*
) ...they don't feel enough like Rayman
to me when it comes to most of their world, their characters' "personalities" and their gameplay... I just don't feel like I experience that same magic that truly transported me to the unique and enchanting world of the Glade of Dreams...
...And I know that it feels so ironic because I still bought Origins and Legends about 10 times each despite how much I nitpick over them like the Mr Burns grumpy old man I am.
Well, regardless of some of my feelings, every single main Rayman adventure was an amazing game in its own right, accomplishing a lot for each of their respective eras and offering so much magic and fun to nearly everyone who grew up with them! And in my eyes, that's what truly matters in the end!
