The reason I don't really like it is because it's treated more like a level gimmick than an new ability. There aren't any instances in an earlier level where you need the shrinking ability where you need to backtrack to after you get the power to 100% the game. I think the controls are okay.I hope you mean shrinking ability and not shlicking ability...
When shrunk, the game mechanics behave differently. Characters can launch up and sidewise in the air to reach what you wouldn't think would be reachable. It certainly takes time getting used to.
Something to do with the nymphs I'd assume

Oh, I think all of Origin's abilities are like that. There is never any backtracking in the game, IIRC, unless you count the part where after freeing all the nymphs you are going back to the Mystical Pique to unlock the last worlds.The reason I don't really like it is because it's treated more like a level gimmick than an new ability. I really wouldn’t call that backtracking, but it’s a much better way than doing it than the tedious methods in R1 and Revolution

I do not understand why you do not like, the levels, everyone loves to play in music, and now that the game itself adapts to the rhythm you do not like, I think that if you are tired of it is probably because redo the course several times for the 100% spoils the music, it's like going to the same concert every day or watch the same music video, that's why the Tricky Treasaures are more suitable to start again several times, So stop complaining about such a cool thing.

Sorry they’re not cool, the designers were nostalgic nuts for 80s music which I’m not into. You ain’t telling me the land of the livid dead in origins has better music than the one in 3 (it doesn’t spoiler alert)
Finally, someone who doesn't blindly praise Rayman 2 for being Rayman 2I don’t like the game that much either, but I still have some level of respect for itand I hope you do too
