The only time I had anything like that was the time I put my bowl in the microwave as a kid to heat my dinner. It sparked and flamed up, then I was like "what the hell", and when I opened the microwave, I found some tin foil stuck to the side. Needless to say, my dinner tasted like smoke and I didn't want it anymore.Well, it's definitely a real thing, I think the problem was more that the microwave filled up with steam before we got a chance to see the sparks properly(But I definitely saw some small ones!)
