Well that's impressive then! I'm guessing you spent a lot of time with Legends then. :)

Well, used to. I quit in 2021 but now and then I sometimes return to haunt the challenge leaderboard with my terrible scores

They went down on PC way before any other platforms unfortunately. I think there was some data breach on Uplay, and apparently the root cause was some vulnerability in the game that couldn't be patched, so they just shut down the online features permanently. I think it's more likely that it could have been patched if they cared, but they just didn't want to bother :mefiant:

So Is switch the last platform they’re still up on?

I honestly don't know, but I imagine it is, since that's the most recently-released version, and "officially" they were supposed to shut them all down… last year, was it?

Maybe it’s easier to keep servers on switch up?

I think taking them down was probably harder than just leaving everything as it is!

Does it cost money holding the servers up? It’s a similar decision to 3DS eshop closing

Well, yes, every server costs money. But my guess is that it's a really small service running on machines that are also doing loads of other work, so the actual cost of keeping the Legends challenges going is negligible. Whereas bringing someone in to decommission it and double-check that nothing is screwed up would probably be a bigger cost, at least in the short term.

I could be totally wrong, but that seems like the best explanation for the current situation! :hap:

At least in switch you didn’t need Ubi play and just a NSO account

And your prices would, be, what, 2 million Tings?

I'm still somewhere in between completing a game just for the sake it and completing a game only if it's worth it to me. Though I guess for me when games aren't worth it I usually end up forgetting about them altogether after some time. :oops2:

I personally usually finish the games too quickly and then get annoyed at myself for rushing

I usually take my time when playing games rather than try and speedrun through them. Because from a person's perspective, once you finish a game, you put it down and don't pick it up again for years. Not for me though, I like replaying games, especially if I like them. Only problem with my method is, I take so much time and I have so many games to play that I just end up with a large backlog.

I last posted here back when I was PlayStationless. Now I absolutely do what I can to complete a game at 100% so I can get that sweet, juicy platinum.

I did 100% a game! TMNT: shredder’s revenge base game! I’m close to 100ing the first DLC and I still need the second one but I will do it! The game is just so insanely fun!

Edit: missing one achievement in base game where I have to beat the hardest difficulty. I’m gonna have to get others on board for that one.

In that case, my guess is you have a PS4/PS5.
