This is probably going to be the last AI upscaled texture pack that I work on for a while. If any of you guys request a game I should make an AI upscaled texture pack for then I might make it (no guarantees though).
Decided to make an AI upscaled texture pack for this game and I think the results turned out pretty good! I'll be honest this texture pack isn't as good as the one I made for Tonic Trouble (Retail) but it's still good nonetheless. This time around instead of using the Fatality MK2 model I used the Fatal Pixels model as it provided better results. But enough talk, let me show you how to setup this texture pack for yourself!

Latest version of Rayman Control Panel
How to Setup
Assuming you already have the game setup to run on modern computers, download the latest release of the texture pack from the GitHub page and extract the "Data" folder inside the .7z file to your game directory. The default path is "C:\Program Files\Disney Interactive\Donald Duck". Keep in mind this will replace your original Textures.cnt file so make a backup of it if you want to. Now download the latest version of Rayman Control Panel and open the .exe file. Add Donald Duck as a game by pressing the + button on the bottom of the game page, choosing the game under the "other" tab and locating where it's installed. Once added, select the game in the list of games and there will be a panel named "Archive Explorer". Here there is a button for "Synchronize Textures". You now only need to press this and it automatically works (no need to select the data folder anymore). And you're done! You can now play Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers with HD textures, enjoy!
Miscellaneous
Because of the HD textures the game has slightly longer loading times. To minimize loading times enable "Fast video memory access" under the DirectX tab in dgVoodoo.

You never cease to amaze us
I was thinking about playing it finally one day. Now you gave me a serious reason.
Thank you
If anybody has some comparisons between stock and upscaled in-game, please post some screenshots.

I'll post some screenshot comparisons on the GitHub page. I'll let you know once I've done it.deton24 wrote: Wed Nov 16, 2022 12:23 am You never cease to amaze us

New update! Version 1.1.0 is out! I know, a new update already but it came to my attention that many textures had some weird transparency issues. This new update fixes most of them. Enjoy!

Re: Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers/Quack Attack (PC) AI Upscaled Texture Pack
Hi, thanks for your work on this mod. I tried finding the "Synchronise textures" option in the latest Rayman Control Panel (RCP), v14.0.2.0, but can't find it. I ended up using the version of the RCP from the time the mod was last updated:
https://github.com/RayCarrot/RayCarrot. ... es/13.4.1/
The newest versions of the RCP seem to be missing the synchronise textures option so the instructions need to be updated for newer users
Also, is there a list of the textures with transparency issues as I'd like to help clean them up more. At 4K I'm getting quite a few artifacts which detract from what is otherwise an excellent mod!

Maybe it's not necessary anymore in new versions (possibly done automatically) but I don't know. You probably didn't try to fire up the game to check whether everything worked correctly?
Edit. It turned out it was deleted, indeed.
Synchronization option is now added per game, and Donald Duck wasn't added in new versions, but it is planned to be added soon.

Somehow missed the notification for this thread, thanks for the update about the tool. I reported this issue after testing it and noticing the crash without using the sync option so glad to know it will be fixed soon.deton24 wrote: Thu Feb 15, 2024 2:02 am Maybe it's not necessary anymore in new versions (possibly done automatically) but I don't know. Sorry for taking a while, but I've now released the beta update for the next Rayman Control Panel update which adds support for Donald Duck, and thus the ability to sync textures there again.gordonfreeman wrote: Tue Feb 20, 2024 7:14 pmSomehow missed the notification for this thread, thanks for the update about the tool. Awesome, thanks! I'll likely be testing the game over the weekend and will report any issues I can see. The HD texture pack is excellent work and I'd love to help address the transparency issues some more but as I'm new to this stuff, every little bit helps.RayCarrot wrote: Wed Apr 17, 2024 5:15 pmSorry for taking a while, but I've now released the beta update for the next Rayman Control Panel update which adds support for Donald Duck, and thus the ability to sync textures there again.gordonfreeman wrote: Tue Feb 20, 2024 7:14 pmSomehow missed the notification for this thread, thanks for the update about the tool.
