Saer also said he'd try to pop by, but he sounded quite busy. Jack l'escroc should try too.

TOBBE, I'm so happy to hear from you again after all this timeTobbe wrote: Sat Aug 17, 2024 12:01 pm I'll do a quick summary of where I am in life before I go out: I'm 32, almost 33 years old. I work as an orthopaedic surgeon in a small town in central Norway. I have a girlfriend of three years, but no kids yet, though I fear that's right around the corner. In my limited free time I enjoy golf, biking, watching football and gaming.
See you in a couple of hours!
That sounds like a wonderful career and life path you're on. Keep it up
Re: The reunion thread
Wow, now here's a surprise!
Re: The reunion thread
Sure is a bunch of names I haven't heard in a while... Even when I was active.
Actually, I checked my history and it's hard to fathom that it was all those years ago already.

Re: The reunion thread
Orthopaedic surgeon huh? Great to hear that man. I'm pushing 40 myself and still with no kids but given that both my partner of 14 years and I are neurodivergent (waiting 2+ years for an ADHD assessment and having to wait even more) I've leaned towards not having any at all. Work has been all over the place for both of us so as we've seen in the bathroom thread I've worked as a cleaner for a few months while still keeping my zero hour stocktake job, while he still does freelance animation as well as a zero hour cinema job.
Keep it coming guys it's great to see yous again!

I certainly agree, it's great to see how far some of us have come since our days of shitposting on a Rayman forum.Adsolution wrote: Sat Aug 17, 2024 12:46 pm TOBBE, I'm so happy to hear from you again after all this time

Oh so this is where your username came from! Though I think I'm more familiar with CherryT at this point tbh.Cairnie wrote: Fri Aug 16, 2024 11:07 pm Oh hey I had been an English moderator and at admin level, had been known as my real name Stacey here; I kind of prefer to just be called CherryT (tbh Cairnie was leftover from being called cairniewoofwoof on tumblr at one point!).

Good to see everyone, thanks for the invitation!

Re: The reunion thread
Same to you! Yeah, I've got my shit somewhat together, but working as a surgeon is quite draining, not sure I'd choose the same career again if I had the ability to time travel.Adsolution wrote: Sat Aug 17, 2024 12:46 pm TOBBE, I'm so happy to hear from you again after all this time

Yeah, I can most definitely imagine
Same but I'm definitely not a surgeonTobbe wrote: Sat Aug 17, 2024 2:45 pm not sure I'd choose the same career again if I had the ability to time travel.![]()
Re: The reunion thread
The pay is all right, but considering the amount of hours - including nights, weekends and holidays - we work, it's not in any way spectacular.Pirez wrote: Sat Aug 17, 2024 2:53 pm Yeah, I can most definitely imagineYou must be getting quite the packet though.
Re: The reunion thread
I guess : working in healthcare is usually not the best field for work-life balance :/
I hope it works out for you anyways.

Hi Shroob!
Is your whole career supposed to be like, or will you get opportunities to get a better work-life balance in the future?Tobbe wrote: Sat Aug 17, 2024 2:55 pm The pay is all right, but considering the amount of hours - including nights, weekends and holidays - we work, it's not in any way spectacular.
