I think the game looks fun! Although I wouldn't buy it outside outside the Rayman licence tho

10 years ago I would've gone crazy over this! Still a bit excited for it, though, even if it's mostly for the figurines. If my memory's not playing tricks on me, I think I always wanted a Grand Minimus figurine as a kid, so now's the time, I guess! Pretty cool.

I saw that FLYOS posted that they hadn't forgotten about the old Rayman games, but I saw nothing about that in this trailer so I'm not entirely convinced.
I think the Grand Minimus figure looks cool, and I think they did a great job on the board, cards and so on, but sadly I'm not really into the theme.
I would back this immediately if it was Rayman 2-themed though. Despite placing Rayman Legends pretty high in my personal ranking of Rayman games, and despite my recent work on a huge Rayman Legends mod, I still think R2 is infinitely more interesting. Simply the best Rayman game ever made. But I guess it's not as marketable as Legends is anymore. :P

Droolie, I feel the same - if this were Rayman 2 themed I think I'd feel like the kid I just mentioned! I replayed that game a few months ago, after not having played it for years and years, and it was as magical as it gets!

Getting some Rayman 2 figurines would be a great modern alternative for the fans who couldn't get their hands on the McDonalds toys!
Truly, more variety from the series would be very welcome to make this *THE* Rayman board game!...
Maybe as expansions as Ubi did for Heroes of the Might and Magic the Board Game?...

Yoo, my friend just got that one! I never grew up playing Heroes, but from his perspective, it's a big deal, and I love seeing how much he's having with it. I think I even said something like "yeah, I'd feel the same if a Rayman board game dropped" and it was announced literally like, the same day or shortly thereafter.

Couldn't agree more with Droolie! However, I'll back the project anyway as I trust that FLYOS will make a fun game out of it. Plus, who's gonna document it on the wiki? :hap:

I also noticed that they contacted the Horn of the Abyss team (who made the most famous mod for Heroes III) to add their Cove faction as an expansion!
This means, if we were to be extremely lucky, fan content could also be acknowledged in some way!

Funny how there are two Rayman related kickstarters coming out so close together: this board game and Rad Venture, which is inspired by Rayman.

I am not a fan of that game, it is more inspired by Sonic games than Rayman.
All I see inspired by Rayman is the design of the character and his ability to glide

While a few things looked promising about the Rad game when I first saw it (I remember an area that was very similar to the Celestial Slide in the Sanctuary of Ice and Water), I'm really not a fan of the protagonist's character design... Feels like someone took Rayman and replaced his parts with bits from random game mascots that don't mesh well together :?
But hey, my opinion is built on a very old beta I saw very long ago on Nitro Rad's channel if I'm remembering correctly...

Here's a video of Maxime Tardif presenting a quick walkthrough of the game mechanics:

It looks like Kickstarter backers will be invited to design a new board, complete with enemies and a boss, and there's also going to be 5-6 player expansion (we already know it will come with Murfy and the Teensy Queen).

This is the first time I'm seeing this, I really would love to buy this board game. It looks like a fun collector's piece especially!

Thank you for the video too, Hunch, that looks quite promising.

What a lovely video! He's clearly very talented. I'm kinda curious about "EARTH" now...

Do we know how this invitation to design a new board will work?

My understanding is that FLYOS will allow people to vote for different alternatives as the Kickstarter campaign unfolds.

Estelia is confirmed to be the first alternate skin for the board game:

Seems like they're taking suggestions on Discord for the villains:

(I better see you suggest a lot of Mr Dark, especially with his recent Mini design! :P )

They have also shared the rulebook, for those looking to dig deeper into the game's mechanics, and an online demo is set to be released later today.
