Re: Rayman: The Board Game
Who knows, if this Legends-themed game is successful, maybe they'll make one after Rayman 3 too.
Yeah, one can dream.

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
That would be pretty nice, yeah!
I find it strange the only acknowledgement the board game makes to Origins is by name in a tier, considering that everything else in the game is from Legends.
That being said, I’d go for Origins tier if I really wanted to go for this kickstarter. It’d be nice to have a lot of people to play with.

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
Haha yeah I know it's very much a pipe dream, but the presence of expansions is giving me some (minuscule) hope that maybe we'll see them go beyond UbiArt down the line. But hey, we've got like 10 months before this game gets to us, and that's only if it's successfully funded anyways so...let's not count chickens yet xD.
They did have some virtual version of the game setup from what I recall, I wonder if some intrepid modder will have a setup for something like TableTop SImulator...

I'm not expecting more than a few references there and there, but this will be appreciated nonetheless!Master wrote: Sun Sep 08, 2024 10:59 pm Haha yeah I know it's very much a pipe dream, but the presence of expansions is giving me some (minuscule) hope that maybe we'll see them go beyond UbiArt down the line. Stuff about the board game :)
I think im late to this but I just wanted to show these because I literally JUST saw this video: and thought it would be cool to show off the new figs :0
They look great! And are modelled really well! (Especially Barbara, the attention to detail is really cool, they added folds to her jeans and all the detailing in her helmet, also you can see that she has slight muscle)
Looking at the cards, they have Estelia, Sir globrax, Globolk(?), Raymesis, Ninja teensy, Goth teensy(?), Globray, Red Globox, and a lot of cards of the main characters with different poses (They also have the caveman rayman one but I forgot the name).
Also sorry for my bad english as im writing this ESTATICALLY and also rushing for no reason
Edit: Didnt watch the full video when I posted this; the kickstarter is STARTING TOMMORROW. Yes. Not joking. TOMMORROW. And they show a close up of the cards, board, everything. They go in detail about it all. This is actually SO exciting dude!!!
Also, pictures below of some of the stuff in the video

Looks like the Kickstarter's started. Goal of £27,858, which seems fairly reachable. Might wanna put out a news post or smth on the front page to let people know.
EDIT: Fucking hell, not even been an hour and they've hit the goal.

Holy crap that was fast! Though I'm excited for this project, so I've definitely put in my pledge for this one.

I really want those full-sized figures but I don't want to pledge $250.
edit: You can get them as add-ons. Cool

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
I suppose that's down to the folks in those regions, I see they've got progress bars for Spanish and German, counting upto 500. Sounds like if 500 German or Spanish backers are had, then they get their translation.Hunchman801 wrote: Tue Sep 17, 2024 4:27 pm That's great! Now let's see if they unlock additional languages too.

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
I wonder how rayman fans feel that don’t live in an English/French/German/Dutch/Spanish speaking region feel that they rarely ever get rayman games released in their language

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
The lucky ticket concept is really cool. The first one was a new minifigure of Rayman riding a Moskito. In my adult life, I try to avoid spending large amount of money for colored plastic, but dammit, Rayman is always an exception.

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
I’d love to think of some more cool concepts for the game, but it’s already been 95% revealed so there’s no point

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
Over €70k now, looks promising for whatever "lucky tickets" they have in stock.
Looks like they have 15 and 29 backers respectively for now, still a long way to go.Master wrote: Tue Sep 17, 2024 5:53 pm I suppose that's down to the folks in those regions, I see they've got progress bars for Spanish and German, counting upto 500. Oh, I can't see those numbers, the graphic on the English Page is still showing 0 for both.

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
£64k, is this an effort from the entire community or just big people?
Re: Rayman: The Board Game
Well if we want Ray to have his own board game (unlike those licensed Monopoly Junior reskins I keep on seeing at my local Walmart), we'll have to help FLYOS to make it, in which our love letter is donations. This is especially considering they're an indie company based in Montreal. In fact, their team consists of 10 employees if we include the (co)founders.Greengoop wrote: Tue Sep 17, 2024 7:03 pm £64k, is this an effort from the entire community or just big people?

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
As it stands, at the count I'm currently seeing with £72,308 pledged with 667 backers, we'd be at an average of about £108 per backer. The Origins tier is about £111. So on average it seems a fair amount are putting a substantial amount of money in, whether you class those as "big people," I dunno. It'll be interesting to see how the amount goes as this campaign progresses, cause this could just be the initial rush and it'll slow down. Or perhaps it might be subject to later sudden rushes as news gets out...and paydays approach.
