Pluses (+) and minuses (−) of this day

Apparently there’s a Polish Rayman fandom, which seems to be very toxic. The only fandoms I look at are the monster legends and *sigh* Fortnite ones :lol:

Me neither. They have a lot of very weird education system changes they’ve been doing in wales and Scotland at the moment

Ah, well that's good I guess :oops2: I was trying to decipher what the hell you meant and couldn't :?

I swear though, they will probably add Rayman or something into the game one day. It's only a matter of time until everybody is in Fortnite :bad:

Here's how today's going, while I'm at it...

- Tired, I have a headache
- I keep seeing fucking AI slop on my reels and it's annoying me
- Been insanely stressed for over a week now, getting worse :|

+ I'll push myself to get some stuff done today
+ I'll also probably try to tinker and mess around with RL if I ever feel like it
+ The rest of the day is going to be good, I have no doubt about it
+ Basically no school today :up:

This week is going so awful, even though nothing particular happened yet… I think i’m stressing myself out too much..
The second one is also kind of relatable. Thankfully, i’m not seeing anything AI on my reels, but i recently learned there is apparently a Belarusian movie coming out that is entirely made with AI, and not only it looks like hot garbage, it’s also made with tax money?! :shock: Something like that…
Anyways, here are my pluses and minuses of yesterday (since it’s already 16th in my timezone)
- Cried over some stupid stuff :mefiant:
- Barely did my homework
+ This one is stupid, but Ly married my look-alike in Tomodachi Life :hap:
…Guess that’s it for yesterday, now i’m going to sleep right now :zzz:

I hope it gets better for you, me personally, my week has been utterly abysmal too, and even though I said I'd do stuff my day went by in a blink... I think I worked on something for a few seconds and then went back to lay down :?

I'm actually kinda raging at AI to be honest. People try to replace creativity with it but always fail. Also, tax money? Jesus christ... I hope it flops

Your plus is actually pretty funny, I must admit :lol: Save me some wedding cake! :mrgreen:
 
+ Got my pc/monitor fixed!
+ It was fast and free!
+ Happy it's all fixed!

- It was stupidly easy to fix. :facepalm:
- Thought I killed my 10$ monitor I thrifted back before Christmas, 8 days into the new year.
- Had to sit around for 3 days without my computer, using my phone to grab whatever game dailies I could.

It's a bit of a long story.

So the thing is, this thrifted monitor is a 2005 Hyundai Image Quest. I love the little thing, it's like my best friend now. (I got a bit of flack due to its age, from the Best Buy I went to get it fixed at...)

I mean, I'd take an old compact 10$ monitor over the placeholder buzzy, broken necked long as heck tv I was using as a monitor. Hated that thing.

Basically, my "new" monitor wouldn't boot right. I'd turn it on, and my cursor would be there, but nothing else. Just black. Somehow, I figured out that if I turned it back off and held shift when booting it back up, it would make everything appear. So I used this for a week or so but didn't like the idea of turning my computer off and on so much.

So I discovered I was booting it into something called safe mode. I decided that if I could just have it boot into safe mode, I wouldn't have to strain it so much with the powering off and on bit. I set it up, restarted the computer and...I couldn't see anything on my screen at all. I mean, even the buttons on the Image Quest weren't working. I thought I killed my best friend. I love this little thing, so to think I inadvertently killed it already was pretty sad. :sad:

I just wanted to turn safe mode off, but I couldn't see anything, not even my cursor! I was totally blind visually. I can't drive so 3 days later my bro drove me out I took my PC and monitor to Best Buy's geek squad, after I tried everything I could think of to try and fix it.

First thing I got asked by the lady upfront was "Is that for recycle?"

"No, it's my monitor!" :oops2:

And the geek squad guy (who later left for lunch so someone else had to get to me) saw it and immediately went "THAT'S ancient."

Like...C'mon man, I know it looks out of place alongside the Victus PC I have. But it's better than what I had. I really wasn't sure if he was poking fun or just being a jerk. :mefiant: I'm always assuming that people just put others down to feel better, so I get pretty defensive towards backhanded comments like that.

But anyways, the nice lady behind the Geek Squad counter didn't judge, she could tell my monitor meant a lot to me. Turns out all I had to do to fix it was to plug the HDMI cord into the unmarked mystery port in the dead middle of my Victus PC. I didn't know what that port was for, it was unmarked. :v This would plug it straight into the graphics card, giving me a more stable experience all together. I must've hit a volume unknown to man the moment my log-in screen appeared. I had to log in behind the counter of course, and it took me a second to retrace my steps to turn off safe mode.

But it was fixed! It was fixed! Oh, I was so happy I hugged the lady, thanking her profusely. I liked the way she put it: "Looks like you're back in the game!" Oh, it was easily one of the best days I've had this year. :coeur:

I'm honestly just glad everything's fixed. And weirdly my Image Quest works like a charm now! No boot problems at all! I wonder if by "breaking it" I inadvertently fixed it. I "bixed" it.

My siblings all moved their HDMI cords into the graphics card port too! :lol:

Well, thank you! :D I was tired at the beginning of the day, but i’m feeling a lot better now, hopefully you’ll also get better soon, too! :up:
And i totally relate to the second part, i keep telling myself i need to update the website, but wait, i need to do some other things as well! And so, i never get to update it :fou2:
However, i have tons of free time tomorrow, so maybe i’ll actually work on it, even a little bit..

Agreed, AI will never surpass the raw creativity people have! Anyways, i’m not really sure about the tax money thing, but it was included in the trailer’s description some time ago, and then they removed it completely, which is kind of suspicious :mefiant:
And luckily, the movie is being dunked by a lot of people, hell even Saberspark commented on it. So, it’s already falling apart, little by little.

Yeah, i just went to play some Tomodachi, and out of nowhere i saw a heart around my look-alikes apartment… To be honest, i kinda expected it, but also, damn, that was kind of quick :oops2: And so, i proposed to her on a train station (maybe not the most romantic place but whatever :lol:)
…And sorry, i eated the cake :(
