I agree with that last part though. Did you know that My Singing Monsters (a game that's literally for little kids) has intensive lore that people ACTUALLY follow? It's a game... about singing monsters.
I don't like how they're focusing on adding to lore nowadays instead of just making silly things that have no purpose.... :|
I think Rayman benefits from lore though. The trilogy has pretty good stories (albeit a little bit not explored deep enough) that you can immerse yourself in and have fun with. I don't think Rayman was ever story driven, but I'd say it still benefits from having a good story. :hap:
Focusing too much on lore is indeed a pretty big problem with media nowadays, like i don’t want to build insane theories or such, i just want to shut off my brain and have a good time :tssk: Also, seemingly innocent thing having deep lore is like beating the dead horse at this point, why can’t anything just be silly anymore? Why everything needs a reason? …Okay, enough of me rambling
I do also think Rayman has very interesting ideas, like the whole Glade is dreamt up? Can dreams, change terrain of some location? Everytime Polokus dreams up something, does the dream apply instantly? …And so on. Would be really cool if we got something like TF2 comics, expanding on the story more
Enough of that, though, has Rayman Legends always been this vibrant? I have a mod on to make the plants colorful, but I'm playing right now and all I can think of is how interestingly saturated everything is in general. Quite beautiful, actually :hap:

I think this one is better though: (peep more mods... the rayman mini bulb LOL)

Now i got a sudden urge to play RL, for some reason :confus:

I don't care for the lore and never read up about it, so it doesn't bother me THAT much, but it's annoying when most additions are completely lore based :fou:

I agree with the fact that Rayman has pretty cool ideas, though. I assume anything is possible with the dreaming power, but it's all out of his control. Even though he's literally God, you can't really control your dreams, can you?

Everything bad in the world being one of his nightmares is also pretty sick, too. I'd also assume that it takes time to effect (...affect? let's just say effect for now) to the real world.

I find all of the lore for the Ubiart games to just be subjective. Literally you can make up anything you want and it'll probably make sense :oops2:

I mean... go for it. I certainly had fun with it since the colors are actually magnificent. I still find it weird though, since I have beaten every world on my PC and still havent noticed it until now :boon:

The main screen is great. I mean, come on. Boring jungle over OLYMPUS MAXIMUS?? (or whatever it's called)

It’s a forest, not a jungle. I’m a huge sucker for medieval things and I genuinely got CHILLS the first time I saw that title screen.

I thought you hated medieval stuff?? I remember we had disagreements about the heroic fantasy side of Legends (and yes the original title screen is beautiful, I like to look at it for hours and dream about exploring the glade)

Edit: I still have a lot of problems using the citation system :confus:

I fixed it for you, if you need help, don't add your own name as a quotation and also fix other people's names

Edit: Omg I'm an idiot, I forgot to fix my stuff, too :fou:

My advice? Use the full editor and preview to make sure your post looks right before submitting. Once somebody else submits a post under yours, you can't edit it anymore. I imagine this is what the above 2 posts probably should have looked like (I'll just quote you guys myself for good measure):

Thanks, if someone could take a screenshot of what the message is supposed to look like before publishing it would be really helpful ^^

I kind of butchered the size since what I use for screencaps is snipping tool, but you can still easily see it :oops2:

It doesn’t really bother me much, either.
I just think that media that is more lore-based gets more traction nowadays, so all the media try to have some kind of deep lore in them, but they forget that sometimes, it doesn’t really fit the direction the media is going in :mefiant: I worded that weirdly, but hopefully you’ll understand.. :fou2:

You can kinda control you dreams while you’re lucid dreaming, though.. Maybe Polokus just doesn’t experience them, at all?
The part about lore in UbiArt games is true enough, however.. :oops2:

Well, i still haven’t played it and i’m not going to for a few days now… :tssk:

Don't worry, I understand :hap:, very well said, probably couldn't have said it better myself :oops2:

Never heard of it :pardon2:... Let's just say he doesn't have those. :mryellow: I think everything is out of his control, because otherwise why would he let it happen? And it seems as though he can't clean up his own mess, so he's gotta sic Rayman and friends on them :oops2:

Huh, if I had a nickel for everytime someone said they haven't played RL, I'm pretty sure I'd have 2. Or 3. I don't have a good memory :oops2:

Actually, i have played RL already, in fact, it was my introduction to Rayman
What i meant to say, is that i still haven’t played Legends ever since i left the previous message, so yeah..

Oh, makes sense ...Brain hasn't been braining recently :oops2:

New 110mb Steam update for Rayman Legends and some other Ubisoft games!... :hehe:

...It's just to update them for Ubisoft Connect of course, what did you expect? :hap:

I thought that had happened a while back? I remember myself updating RL on steam and going to the discussion to ask about the update :oops2:
