God almighty, < is glad future R&C games had battle arenas, trying to grind bolts is not fun.
Still, <'s completed a run of the R&C 2016 remake/reboot/thing. And < is surprised by how 1:1 it can be in certain spots, < knows from developer blogs and interviews that they did rip level data from the original R&C to speed up development, and < is amazed how much < recognises now having played the original.

The sad thing is, even though < doesn't agree with the story changes and the tonal change, when it comes to the levels themselves, they look stunning. Add in the fact that a lot of them are pretty faithful to the original and you can't help but wonder how pretty a genuine 1:1 remake of R&C1 could've been.

Anyways, back to grinding, <'s trying to see if < can go for the platinum.

<'s managed to upgrade all weapons and beat a challenge mode run, <'s got all trophies bar one. And it's one that requires you to use the Groovitron on every enemy in the game. < tried to do that in <'s challenge mode run but the trophy didn't drop, so now <'s got to do another run and hope < nabs whatever < missed. < hopes < did miss something and < hasn't been subject to a bug, as < is very keen to move on now, <'s done the meat of the game, this one trophy is more busywork at this point.

< Completed R&C 1 and 2 on the PS2 with all achievements, but still has to do 3, < took a break like half a year ago.
< Always liked the R&C games in terms of replayability, it's not annoying at all and even though < didn't like the idea of replaying the game to level the weapons, < found it to be very fun and not at all annoying in practice.

< doesn't mind levelling weapons so much if there's a straightforward means to do so, it's why < likes the arena challenges cause they give a dedicated way to do so. < enjoys replays in challenge mode as well, but there comes a point where you get burnt out, which is why < tries to get as much done sooner rather than later xD
