A new update just came out on the Kickstarter page! It talks about how the updates will be moved to the FLYOS Journal, which is where the real update was.

The development of Rayman The Board Game was completed several weeks ago, and we’re now in the final steps before moving into mass production. Two key processes are currently underway: preparing the retail version alongside the Kickstarter edition, and reviewing production samples for both miniatures and paper components.

To keep production costs reasonable and synchronize shipping, we need to manufacture both the Kickstarter and retail editions at the same time. For those who missed the campaign, please note that the retail version will include plastic standees instead of figures. We are also awaiting the miniature samples, which may take another 2–3 months to finalize. As for the printed components, we expect to receive those samples within the next two weeks. We’ll share photos in the next update! These samples will also be used by our distribution partners to finalize their orders.

All of this will help ensure everything is aligned, both in terms of quality control and production timelines, so we can launch full manufacturing with confidence.

As for the Gamefound Pledge Manager, it is currently still open and will close toward the end of July. We’ll announce the exact closing date soon. We’re continuing to assist backers who need help completing their pledges — and we’re currently at around 65% of addresses entered.

Remember, only the retail version will have these standees; us Kickstarter (and Gamefound) backers are still getting the 3D miniatures!

Finally, we got a bit of information about the delivery window through one of the comments:

We’re aiming to deliver the game within 2025, but the timeline will depend on how smoothly the molding process goes. The miniatures are highly detailed, and we hold ourselves to very high quality standards, so there may be some back and forth with the factory. If everything proceeds as planned, we should be on track for a late 2025 delivery. If there are delays, we expect it to shift to Q1 2026.

It's not too late! You can still back the game and get the 3D figures along with any (or all) of the exclusive add-ons on the game's Gamefound pledge manager! Just be sure to do it and fill everything out before the pledge manager closes in July. There happens to be a large-scale Rayman statue as an add-on that you might be interested in...

Whoops, forgot to let you guys know there was an update!

We’ve just received the paper pre-production samples and they look fantastic! We’re really happy with the result, and everything seems to be in perfect order. That means we’re 100% ready on the printed components side.

Now, the final step is validating the figures samples. That process has been slightly delayed, as we needed to make some final adjustments to the models and sync up with the factory. We’re aiming to kick off that phase within the next two weeks and receive the samples within the timeframe set by the manufacturer.

That said, this does push our production timeline back a bit. While we initially aimed for a June delivery, it’s now looking more like the end of the year. We’re truly sorry for this delay and are doing everything we can to move things forward as quickly and smoothly as possible.

Just a quick reminder: the Pledge Manager will close at the end of July. We’ll be sharing an update on both Kickstarter and Gamefound one week prior to give all backers a heads-up. As of today, we’re 66% complete.

I'm hoping that they make that delivery date, I'm not sure how much longer I can wait for this game. Again, maybe I'm a bit too excited for it, but the game has looked great since the campaign started and this will be my first figure-related merchandise from the Rayman series. Also this is technically our first Rayman game since 2019's Rayman Mini, though I don't know if everyone would count it as a true Rayman game.

Anyhow, time to bring up a discussion from almost a year ago to put in my two cents on this topic.

On a side tangent, what is your thoughts on Barbara becoming a main character beside Rayman and Globox? I personally don't feel it's that deserved. When people look at Rayman and Globox, or even the Teensies, they have a general understanding of their personalities and how they would behave in certain situations. Barbara's personality is...girl who wields axe. I just don't think she deserves to be a main character, frankly. Not where it stands now when she is just simply a character design that people like.

What I would like is if they did something more substantial with her and made her a character to care about before tacking her on with Globox and Rayman

While she doesn't have as much to go off of as the main dynamic duo, I've grown to accept and like Barbara as a part of the main group. The games haven't gone into her personality at all, but I've already come up with one that I think fits her and plays off of the other main characters pretty well (I'd be happy to share if y'all were interested ), so that's not much of a problem for me. I agree with SilverLum that the next game - or maybe an animated TV show or a comic, either one would work - should give her a more substantial role, like going into her character and personality more by showing she and Elysia's sisterly bond or her interactions with Rayman and Globox.

I don't think humans belong in Rayman's universe, period. It's just a Legends thing, a game could be described as a surprising crossover of the Glade of Dreams and the world we live in, but clearly not a staple of the series itself.

Well, they had no limbs in Rayman 1 but in Rayman Origins they were limbed along with the Nymphs.

That's true, but they are still considered human as of Origins. I think the jury's still out on whether Space Mama counts as a human or not, considering her limblessness (though she'd probably be given limbs if she ever returned, like many other Rayman 1 characters).

Yep! At some point after the game ships to the backers, the base game and the 5-6 player expansion will be available in stores (albeit with the figures being replaced with plastic standees). FLYOS's online shop will also stock the set of 10 skins (and presumably the base game and expansion). They've said that they also plan to add the figures from the base game and 5-6 player expansion in a future figure pack on their shop.
