- Really sad to hear that. He’s one of the most truly influential people in music history and a big part of it goes with him.
 
+ Got the new car!
- Still have to deal with some stupid bureaucracy.
- July is definitely the worst month at work.
 
+ New PSU arrived and my PC is back in action! :teuf:
– There's water dripping through the kitchen ceiling (actually this is a minus from yesterday but I held it over…)
+ Started making my new desk feel like home at university
– I still haven't had a chance to do any actual labwork :mefiant:
 
Good luck with your PhD PluM! Take it as an opportunity to learn as much as you can and to break your limits, because it won't be happening in any other place ;)
+/- Had to decide (again) if I'm doing a stay somewhere else. I was supposed to go to Sweden from September to December, but I'm not going finally. I'm supposed to have a second chance to decide if I finally want to leave for a few months, but being honest, that ain't the biggest of my wishes.
+/- Since I'm past the halfway of the PhD studies there are several existential questions.

That post got me confused for a second, before I remembered the New 3DS is a model for it. :oops2:

+ Had a really good (hopefully that’s stressing it enough) pizza.
+ I will do some cool stuff today like climbing Arthur’s Seat and visiting the Scottish Museum.
 
+/- Got 200 wins in King Of Fighters 2001's survival mode last night! With K9999 of course. Winning 200 rounds without losing is beyond human ability I think (Seriously, how are you meant to do that in one go?! :shock: ) so I had to use save states, sometimes saved with really low health but still made it anyways.

Needless to say I had to fight Igniz several times with only enough health for 2 hits. It was brutal but I did eventually make it through. Really weird to have the 1/3 health bar thing flipped on me whereas Igniz had an entire health bar. Definitely a taste of my own medicine moment. :oops2: (And I'm definitely gonna have to get a celebratory corndog sooner or later...)

The minus comes in because now I uh...Don't have anything left to do in KOF 2001. The unlocks stop at 200 survival wins, the last unlockable being Igniz himself. (Who surprise surprise, is BEYOND broken. Who okayed that?) But yeah, I mean, now what? What's there to do besides what, get the artwork gallery filled out? I could just look up the images in a way less fuzzy resolution online, so that would be pointless.

+++ Going to the arcade later today! Can't wait, that grilled cheese is gonna be de-lish! :popcorn:

So this dried up after a few days…

– But not before damaging the light fitting. This evening it started flickering, and then at one stage I melodramatically pointed at it like Sabrina the Teenage Witch – and it went completely dark! :boon: So now we have to get that replaced…

+ had an excellent customer service experience with Etsy today. The person was extremely helpful, and provided visuals for everything. They also misspelt a word so I know it wasn’t all ai. Very appreciated.
+ they gave me 7$ in credit for my patience.. I think it might just be a wide Etsy thing but I’m not sure.
+ this reminded me that I am apparently a known person in the space of the “comfort character” community on there. Got a dm the other day from a shop that I ordered from that was like “OMG YOURE THE RAYMAN LADY?” And that made me very happy.
+ ordered some letters from Rayman fans Ant Tenna. Excited to get those!
+ I finally ate something that wasn’t mayo or ranch.
- I overate..

I think I had a good day today!

+ gumball season 7 drops in like less than an hour over here

Oh, jeez! So I’m clearly not the only one who has some kind of bad influence towards electronics, eh? Stuff often seems to malfunction in my presence!

+ It turns out Dad was able to get a replacement light module and fit it himself
+ I finally got a cupboard and drawer allocated to me in the lab today and will hopefully get to do something productive tomorrow!
 
Unless AI also starts making spelling mistakes due to their increasing prevalence in training data :roll:
 
+ Got out and did things today! (Picked up dry cleaning, picked up some mouthwash, and got some ice cream! :D )

-/+ Did not get a grilled cheese at the arcade. I totally forgot...I ordered a mushroom burger instead! It was almost too much, had to take in home in a to-go box! It was super good though! I just hope I remember to get the grilled cheese next time... :oops2:
