Oh cool! But where are they gonna be sold?RayGamer99 wrote: Fri Aug 01, 2025 6:11 pm Yep! At some point after the game ships to the backers, the base game and the 5-6 player expansion will be available in stores (albeit with the figures being replaced with plastic standees). FLYOS's online shop will also stock the set of 10 skins (and presumably the base game and expansion). They've said that they also plan to add the figures from the base game and 5-6 player expansion in a future figure pack on their shop.

That much we're not sure of yet; I know that retailers can and have backed the game, but I don't know which ones. FLYOS's online store will very likely carry it at some point too.

You sure you don’t want to back it now? This would be your last chance to get the exclusive figures and statues…

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
Well that’s not true as far as I know, but don’t worry about it too much. Like I said before, all of the board game’s actual content will be available in stores, whether physical or online, at some point; the crowdfunding-exclusive stuff is really just material enhancements and extras that don’t have to do with the gameplay.

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
Here comes another update!
FLYOS wrote:As mentioned in our last update, we’re thrilled with how the paper components have turned out. We took the time to review everything once more and fix the last few details that needed our attention. For example, the core layer of the tiles had a slight misalignment, which allowed mixing different tiles together but created a small height variation — not quite the look we were aiming for. Well, that’s now fixed.
Now, the next big milestone is the "miniatures"figures". We sent our files to the factory two weeks ago, and the LongPack team has started working on optimizing and adjusting the 3D files to ensure they work perfectly in two key ways: first, stability / durability. Since the game will also be played by children, it’s important for the minis to be as sturdy as possible. Second, the files need to be adapted for injection molding, which requires certain technical adjustments. This phase will continue until the end of August.
After that, we’ll move into the tooling stage, where the metal molds used for mass-producing the miniatures are created. That’s when we’ll start receiving factory-printed prototypes for final approval, and we honestly can’t wait to show them to you.
Finally, mass production will begin. In parallel, we’ve been continuing discussions with various distribution partners. Asmodee in Canada is one great example, and we’re working to expand into multiple markets so the game can have as global a presence as possible.

Hm ok, I've heard of Asmodee before when it comes to board games, they distribute to retailers if memory serves. So this could be a promising sign to anyone who's been interested in getting the game from a retail store.FLYOS wrote: Finally, mass production will begin. Oh, yes, Asmodee distributes 7 Wonders - a game I really like, although it's quite complex for 'casual' play.Master wrote: Mon Aug 11, 2025 8:39 pm Hm ok, I've heard of Asmodee before when it comes to board games, they distribute to retailers if memory serves. Re: Rayman: The Board Game
We've gotten another update on the Kickstarter, but this isn't as good of news as on the journal.
How in the ever-bubbling Glade of Dreams did we go from the end of 2025 to the middle of 2026?!
Tl;dr: The board game is coming in April-May 2026, and the pledge manager closes at the end of August.FLYOS wrote: Here’s the projected timeline from today:
End of August 2025 – Final 3D model corrections completed.
September to October 2025 – Tooling phase (creating the production molds).
Mid-November 2025 – Receive pre-production samples.
Late November 2025 – Sample validation at Flyos.
December 2025 to January 2026 – Mass production (about 2 months).
February 2026 – Packaging and preparation (about 2 weeks).
March to April 2026 – Ocean freight to regional hubs (about 2 months).
April to May 2026 – Final delivery to backers (3 to 4 weeks after arrival).
Pledge Manager Closing Soon
The Pledge Manager will close at the end of August 2025. This is your last chance to complete your pledge, add items, or fill in your missing information. After the deadline, changes will no longer be possible, so please make sure everything is finalized.

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
Alright, as a canadian I can explain somethings about shipping from personal experience.
I suspect the reason its taking so long to get the samples in is due to Canada post being very known for ridiculously slow shipping times, along with it being expensive. Even a letter sent to Ottawa from a small town near by can cost 25$, and internal shipping is also expensive and can take an extremely long time.
This is just my theory, so I could be wrong, but it does seem to make sense to me.

Regardless of the cause, I will have to change my shipping address, cause I sure won't be living in the same place come April 2026

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
According to the timeline, the design and production phases got pushed back too. Kickstarter projects are obviously not all scams, but from my experience they're always late.
I think you should be able to do it in the pledge manager, right?Pirez wrote: Tue Aug 12, 2025 6:29 am Regardless of the cause, I will have to change my shipping address, cause I sure won't be living in the same place come April 2026
Re: Rayman: The Board Game
Sure, but I also have to do it once I'm sure I move. My issue is that I might just forget come Christmas.

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
It's not exactly news, but there's a new interview with Maxime Tardif, the co-designer of the board game, talking about stuff related to the game's development process. If that sounds interesting to you, check it out on FLYOS's journal.
Interestingly, it seems like the images of the prototype were using screenshots from Rayman 1 as placeholders; maybe that game was supposed to be incorporated in some way? Another somewhat odd thing is that they say things like "Rayman is a very accessible video game" and "what best captures Rayman's DNA" throughout the interview; I'm pretty sure that at certain points, they were just talking about Rayman Legends - because Maxime would be mistaken to call something like Rayman 1 "very accessible" - so how come they didn't just say that?
