That's a given, I don't think Sony have made replacement batteries for at least a decade at this point. The third party ones are alright though, I've got one in mine.

Yes but it's also getting more and more complicated to record while you play. And I need to record Mgegaman Powered up and Maverick Hunter X for my YT channel at some point. Ergo, emulation

Ahh that's fair. I remember back when I tried to record off mine using a screen mirror, but it was very laggy.
