< Would like to hear from people from other countries to see if they also have that stuff going on there, but it seems more common than < thought in the UK. < doesn’t think there’s been any racially motivated attacks in <‘s area though, despite <‘s area being incredibly diverse in race.

And < doesn’t understand it either. Their families usually came over 60-70 years ago, likely under the encouragement of the government to fill out jobs, so they certainly weren’t part of the immigrant problem they seem to care about so much. (Still a shit excuse to beat someone up though, even if they did migrate recently.)
 
< agrees with the families coming over a long time ago, and a lot of those people work hard and earn their living too. < even finds some of them to be more sensible than some people raised by families that were always here. < wonders if maybe it's another case of the UK do it so Ireland does too...

One example is you might get a person who sits around all day never even putting an ounce of effort into anything, who's clearly not even pretending to be interested in getting a job, yet they will say "well you can't get a job with all the foreigners". It's not the foreigners faults, they're actually putting in the effort to get a job, you're just sitting there smoking weed all day and don't give a shit, that's not the foreigners faults. You just want someone to blame because you're useless.
 
< remembers that <‘s brother said that immigrants were taking all the jobs while he was making 3k from landscaping and taking care of a women’s cat while < was denied everywhere for not wanting to work customer service.
 
< was only trying to get jobs in common places that probably didn't even need anyone at the time, so that's why < wouldn't have gotten into those. < doesn't even really want a job like that now though if < is to get into something. < would rather something involving technology, like programming. Unfortunately everyone else is also doing that, and AI isn't going to help here. :P
 
<‘s animation career isn’t really at risk because the animation industry in Canada is very much pro artist and animators are very sought after.
 
< Says the immigrants clearly have a lot of respect for the countries, lots are fluent in the English language and many are actively trying to learn it, and they’ll happily take part in jobs that positively affect the whole country’s future.

< Also finds people complaining about jobs to be dead stupid. Have they ever seen a white person with a high income complaining about immigrants “taking all the jobs”? Doubt they’ve ever found another low-income person say it outside of their hate gangs and far right subreddits. < Knows many medium-high paying professions that don’t have enough workers, so why should they complain about something they could easily avoid?
 
< used to hear the argument all the time that they were "willing to work for less", hence being prioritised. < isn't sure if that's still a thing though, as there is a minimum wage etc.
 
< Knows that’s a big reason for overseas manufacturing, but the argument definitely wouldn’t hold up in the UK.
 
That’s weird. Where < lives most of our stuff is made in Canada and we promote supporting local farmers instead of imported goods. So most Canadians prefer to buy stuff that’s made in Canada rather than overseas. < thinks this is also the reason why most people don’t buy imported foods and stuff.

< thinks ^ has good instincts, and that the majority follow the illusionary idea that suddenly gain control over their lives when they become an adult.

However, it does not have to be a "worrying", on the contrary an enthusiasm for taking one's life into one's own hands should yield much better results.

< did not realize this until after becoming an adult. Teachers and adults may warn children they need to prepare for the future, but what would be more helpful is behaving as though they were already an adult.
 
< feels like < keeps getting ignored by everyone and it’s driving < mad. < just wants to talk to others without being ignored.

< thinks that constant warning of teenagers about what happens when they're an adult, is making us too anxious and feel too much pressure.
< thinks teenagers should enjoy being teens and enjoy not having the responsibility you need as an adult, heck, even when you become 18 you still won't have that responsibility unless you get kicked out of the house
< also thinks that if you will become a student, you will have some more years to enjoy some kind of intermediate stage between being a teenager and a fully financially independent adult.

< believes that young people should be taking on adult responsibilities as early as teenage years. The very premise of adult life being this sort of scary, stressful burden is created by the fact that we do our best to ignore it. The child who grows up fast is a happy child. Like a bird, they have learned to fly from a young age, and can enjoy the freedom of flight. Imagine now an adult bird learning how to fly. That is the majority of us.

To put it another way, < agrees that we should not be stressing kids out with concerns of the future, but sees the solution in the empowerment that comes with taking responsibility. The worry comes precisely because that future has been postponed. It is the way it is because the education of helpless babes is far more profitable, one only has to look at university tuition fees to see how much that cow has been fattened.

< agrees with the sentiment that the worry comes precisely because the future has been postponed.
<'s main argument is that there is always this constant talk of needing to worry because the future will be difficult, which actually makes people like < build up fear over long amounts of time. The funny thing with that is nothing will ever be as difficult as < expected, making everything seem easy in retrospect, yet intimidatingly difficult at the moment.
< agrees with ^ because learning to fly from a young age also means preventing this ever-growing feeling of dread and intimidation for the future which < is talking about
