I'm certain it's not, but that's just my optimism talking. I've been looking forward to this fangame since it was announced and can't wait to play it also.
Say, I was looking through the different themes for the game and was thinking...The Rayman 2 theme doesn't have a distinct Rayman to go with it!...Could the theme perhaps use the 2nd prototype sprite from the Rayman 3 GBA protos that were discovered a while ago? I'd only go with the 2nd proto one cause' it was a little more polished...And it's the 2nd one.
Other than that, I'm super stoked for the release!

We considered using it, but the animations of this design in the prototype are very limited, so at the moment it is planned to use the design from the remake of Rayman GBC for Palm OS!

Oh, I see...I just figured it wouldn't hurt to ask about it. That's too bad, but I suppose I didn't consider the amount of sprites and all.
But that's an understandable reason. I've considered trying to make a ReDesigner skin with that 2nd prototype sprite, but everything's in the way and I don't exactly have a crazy amount of motivation...And I need to figure out how to resize the pieces so they uh...Fit. Since I have to rip the sprites parts myself.

2024 is almost over, is there any planned release date for the demo?
Episode 1 had to be postponed due to a sudden series of events, due to which we found an investor for our gamedev company, so attention was focused on it and its debut project, however, Rayman Lum'o'Grams was not canceled, and I am working on it in my spare time, although not so actively, since I am a lead programmer in our new company. I will not give specific deadlines, as it is difficult to predict now, but I am slightly changing the scale of the project to reduce the development time of the game

Glad to hear it wasn't cancelled! Take all the time you guys need!
I'm a sucker for Picross for sure, therefore I can state with certainty that I'm gonna love it.
However, is fullscreen necessary? It streches pixel beyond visible IMO.
Also QOL improvement : right-click and drag across blue squares gets no penalty (and ignores the blue ones, which is great) but left-click and drag across ref squares gets a penalty. IMHO, the two behaviours should be consistent.
