The Jonster wrote:As bad as Revolution is for me, I'll admit it had a pretty good hub. But I like The Hall of Doors also, it's cool to be able to explore each world and a hologram displaying what we can expect from each level. The Isle of Doors definitely is pretty graphically cool too. As you guys can tell, I like the hubs from R2 best. :proud:
Well, as linear as The Hall of Doors is, I agree it's pretty cool that you can get a taste from a certain level before going into it.

I like hub world of the Gameboy Advance version of Rayman Raving Rabbids with each world having a themed house you enter to access it.

I wonder if the Gallery of Rayman Legends comes under the "level-selection level" heading, or if I should reset the poll to add it as a brand-new option…

I wonder that too, since I've no idea whether the Gallery is a level in itself...

The Front is the perfect example that a Open-World Rayman game would be interesting.

That would be an interesting game, and I wouldn't mind seeing another game like this! Just hope it won't be as flawed as RR.

Bump.

Switched back to the Hall of Doors. Look I love how much we explore the Front. But for anyone who's not used to the area, they'll be wandering around a bit before finding things, worst case scenario. And you have to run a fair amount to the locations before they can be accessed from the Teensie Circle, so there's that too.

True. There's that and there's also the Isle of Doors, but I hugely prefer the Hall of Doors because of the unique feel to it. :)

Yeah I agree, the Hall of Doors was much more interesting than the Island of Doors.

Island of Doors was unique and I liked it. The hall of doors was always the more interesting of the two though cuz of how mysterious it felt

Now that I'm not so sleep-deprived, I can see that this topic was created in summer 2009, so it must have been one of the first ones I read. I had just discovered that YouTube walkthroughs were a thing, so I must have just seen the Front for the first time and liked the concept, so I voted for it here.

Now… It's been so long since I played any of the games that I don't know what I'd pick :boon:
