Rayman Legends Fan DLC: Adventures & Mini Become Legendary!

It is already in the DLC.

Cool! Does he already have a name and description too? If not, then maybe you guys could use the one I came up with?

Anyway, here are a few other ideas for possible characters:

Tarayzan (from Rayman 1, he was scrapped from Rayman Origins and showed up in concept art for Shayman)

GlobRay (from Rayman M/Arena)

Superbox (a scrapped skin from Rayman Arena)

Teensy Mage (the other magical Teensy twin, scrapped from Rayman Origins)

I also think it'd be cool if Shayman and Teenseer's early designs made it here - especially since their sprites already have full sheets - but I have a feeling that's already in the DLC.
I don't really know how to edit Adventures or Mini sprite sheets (I can't even rip them from the game, since I don't have a Windows to use Rayman Control Panel on yet), but I'm more than happy to provide some possible ideas for skins in this awesome DLC. Keep up the great work guys!

Hey, Droolie? Can you possibly send over the front head and bubble/roll sprites of Beta Teenseer? Because those are the only sprites I'm somewhat missing from him

But yes, we are accepting custom skins if we (the main DLC team) think they look nice, and if they aren't OCs or simple recolors.
If you want a costume to be included in the fan DLC, I recommend suggesting the idea to me in advance (maybe with a concept/sketch), either here in public, or in Michuuu's discord server, or through a private message to me - just in case we already have something like it in development, such as now with Gothic Ray.
As long as the costume is based on either a scrapped idea or a costume from a previous game, and if it more or less matches the quality of the other skins in Rayman Legends/Adventures/Mini, I will consider including it in the DLC.
The creator(s) of the costume will be visibly credited in the in-game description of the costume. Finally, costumes included in the fan DLC and in the base game will have a big "advantage" over costumes added through other mods. I can't tell you what exactly yet, but it will be pretty cool.

Regarding what Droolie said about custom skins, to make it even easier to create the concepts without having to make all the sprites, I made a free-to-use template of each of the characters as a base.
Now with this you can try some costume idea, whether it's something that has been seen in the franchise, some unused skin, among other things (as long as it's not an OC or simple recolors as already emphasized)

A few hours ago I found early versions of 3 skins in the files of old Rayman Adventures versions.

They are the early designs of Shayman, Teenseer and Ray-Fucius (don't mistake this one for just a higher quality Fiesta Run Chinese Rayman skin - his shoes are different).
Now have 3 new skins that will be added to the DLC, which means they will also need backlight & duck forms!
I added every texture for them to the archive so that you guys have access to the highest quality version of every sprite.

Do you think something is missing for Beta Teenseer?

I'll just requote this for anyone whose wondering how the project is going.

It's going well! I am still putting nearly all of my free time into this project - and others are helping out a lot too. I think the end result will be worth the wait. :)
But as I wrote in my previous posts, for various reasons I won't talk about progress updates or release date estimates anymore, or answer questions about the project's contents. It will be more fun to discover everything when it's ready. ;)

Just wish a new demonstration or sumn similar was uploaded , as I really wanna know if the levels were slightly reworked/expanded, since they're no longer bound to simple touch controls, and how they look in the general hub (what I mean is are they extra painting slots or do they replace the base adventure)

Thanks! I really appreciate kind messages like this. It's an honor to be placed in the same category as Reburrowed for you, as the team behind that project are doing some amazing things! It's my most anticipated Rayman fan project for sure! (aside from my own )
As for a demonstration, I decided a while ago not to post any more screenshots or videos until the project is ready. Making people more excited like this would also make the wait harder, so it's really better not to do this until the project is finished.
That said, I can answer those questions as I think I've answered them before. Yes, the level design of some of the Adventures/Mini levels was adjusted slightly where necessary due to different mechanics (such as faster glide speed in Adventures/Mini, different swimming controls...). We have made other improvements to the levels too, but you'll see that later. In the general hub, the DLC will add additional world paintings that lead to completely new world hubs. No part of the base game will be replaced. You will be able to play through the entire original game with the DLC installed.

I can certainly vouch for the fact that the project is progressing well, and that it will most likely exceed everyone's expectations. We might not know when it's coming out, but it will be worth the wait when it does.
