Ubi might still have the files somewhere, but otherwise yes.

I played briefly. As in, 30 seconds.

Re: Rayman 1
I just assumed I’d play it when I got deathly bored. Too bad my life is apparently too interesting.

Re: Rayman 1
Same, and there was a reason for that.
Re: Rayman 1
Hi guys.
Just been thinking writing something about the first episode to summarise all main infos about the creation of the game. Just wondering if you came across new trivias since 2014. I'm still lurking the web for some news ; maybe I missed something since 2014. Can't wait for Ubisoft to post more regarding this 30th anniversary ^^

You probably already saw this, but I think the biggest thing that happened since then regarding the first game is that a very early SNES version was dumped: https://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/Rayman_(ca ... Dumped_ROM
Aside from this, the community has reverse-engineered a lot of the games, allowing us to dig up a lot of small trivia and create extensive articles about early production of the games. One thing about Rayman 1 that might be interesting to mention is that the later GameBoy Advance port of the game was going to come with a new multiplayer mode: https://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/Rayman_(ea ... oy_Advance
I'm looking forward to what you'll write!

Hey Mike! Sounds like a great idea, I’d totally buy it. Is there any inside information we wouldn’t be currently able to access it that you have?Motormike wrote: Tue Sep 16, 2025 8:04 pm Hi guys.

Re: Rayman 1
Nice to hear from you, Mike! I think Droolie pretty much said it all, there's also a few details from the "Video Games You Will Never Play" book but not much that wasn't already in the scans you shared in your own book. As of today, I think pretty much everything there is to know about it is on RayWiki.
I too look forward to reading your article, be sure to share it with us when it's published, and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any specific questions.

Re: Rayman 1
Now I'm debating if I want to end up firing up Rayman 1 on my Sega Saturn or the PS1 and start playing it. I do need to replace the laser on my PS1 still, but it'd be a good motivational factor.

I haven't played the Saturn versino yet actually. So curious to try it out and see the differences between it and the PS1 version!

Re: Rayman 1
Do you own a copy of the game for the Saturn, Jonster? I remember Steo having one, but I guess I can't recall if you did or not.

Re: Rayman 1
Nope, sadly. I have to use emulation for the time being. The only Rayman 1 ports I have are GBA (which might not be working either) and the GOG version on PC currently. I don’t think Rayman Classic works on my phone anymore actually. It would be nice to have them for real, and I’ll get there…..eventually!
But gosh if I had known there would be good games for Sega consoles I would have gotten a Genesis, Saturn, and a Dreamcast long ago!

Re: Rayman 1
I've always been a real hardware man, and it's actually been some time since I've used my Saturn now that it's brought up. I hope it still works.
Anyway, emulation is far better than nothing of course. Something about me just loves the experience of using a real console, holding the controller, etc.
I still even keep a small CRT just to have for these purposes, even though I have an OSSC again.

You know actually now that you've brought it up I wonder if you have Rayman 1 for the Saturn? I don't know if you've ever mentioned it.Steo wrote: Fri Oct 03, 2025 3:48 am I've always been a real hardware man, and it's actually been some time since I've used my Saturn now that it's brought up.
