If you can't help yourself then what can be done? It can't just simply be deleted or blocked, this is a forum, not a social media platform. Like I said before, self-restraint is key. ;)

+ Managed to recover what I needed from my old user profile and set up everything again.
- Still need to personalize my desktop again, which honestly won't take too long but I don't remember what customizations I used.
- Hope you can fix your SSD issues Steo. :up:

Sadly there's no real filtering system here, the best advise I can give is just exercise some will power here. You can do this, I do believe in you. :D

I find it interesting how you say this, yet you didn't seem to be too bothered when you were getting all the information from Tumblr, let alone responding to it in the thread. Example: Your response to dr_st you deleted wasn't because of any panic attacks, but because of your mom having a problem with you talking about it.

Are you certain it's just not the fact your mom strongly is against this, that's making you feel rather anxious about it? I'm just trying to understand this since I'm having a difficult time understanding this.
 
Unfortunately, it's up to you to have restraint and not click on things if you feel you shouldn't. This is not tumblr, it's Pirate-Community...

Well it is pretty full to be fair, at least the partition Windows is on. That might affect it as well, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's just really shitty flash memory though. Unsurprisingly, it's QLC.

Well, like it's been said, exercise some will power, maybe you can see if your mom could help with any of this. It sounds like she's pretty involved with things for you, maybe asking her for some assistance can go a long way. Such is the way of mortgages, still I hope this significant milestone clearing is a good omen for the process.

Relocation is in two months and I can't wait. But the road is still long until then.

I will have the opportunity to model a room so that we could livestream board games and the Rayman one could be a good way to start.
 
Haha already planning out where you can model and put things? Exciting times indeed. Would you be modelling the room virtually using 3D software?

I have ideas for what I'd like if I ever do manage to find a place to settle down but the housing market is brutal and mine chances less than ideal. But I do have a fair amount of stuff I'd like to put on display cases, such as my Transformers, and LEGO models.
 
I mean, when you visit houses and apartments, parts of having that wow factor is already project where you'll put your stuff and seeing yourself living in it, so of course I do.

Like for example there was that house that my sister fell in love with when you looked at it in the paper, but visiting it, I couldn't imagine a single one of my stuff inside it. Not even my bed in the bedroom.

Fortunately, neither did my sister, so we wrote it off immediately :lol:
 
I suppose that's true, though in the case of my last move it was more, was there sufficient space to just dump stuff as we were under pressure to find a place.

That experience is partially why I'd like a little more stability next time I do a move, but honestly the way things are going right now, I think stability is becoming less and less a likely prospect...

While I'm not one myself, I know PhD students here in the UK, and if it's anything like how it is here, then you have my sympathies...pay's definitely not great, putting it mildly.

I'm not doing it on my salary alone. I'm buying with my sister. We're both in the 8th decile in income...

... And even then we needed a 120k€ donation from our parents. I ain't earned shit through hard work.
