The best thing you can do is just ignore a thread you don't want to have involvement with. Be it by choice or by force, just pretend it doesn't exist. It'll just be easier on you in the long-run to not let it bother you.
Yeah but I click on them by instinc. I wish there was a filthering system just on like Tumblr.
Sadly there's no real filtering system here, the best advise I can give is just exercise some will power here. You can do this, I do believe in you.
Also since you responded when I wrote my previous post:

Unsubscribe to the topic and, uhh just don’t look at it i guess???? Self-restraint is key here, idk
Yeah but I hate seeing the word POLITICS. Gives me panic attacks.
I'm looking at extensions rn for that, to block entire keywords entirely.
I find it interesting how you say this, yet you didn't seem to be too bothered when you were getting all the information from Tumblr, let alone responding to it in the thread. Example: Your response to dr_st you deleted wasn't because of any panic attacks, but because of your mom having a problem with you talking about it.
Are you certain it's just not the fact your mom strongly is against this, that's making you feel rather anxious about it? I'm just trying to understand this since I'm having a difficult time understanding this.
