- Now I just got reminded that with my current salary it would take me lots of years to achieve that
Not gonna be explicit, but you can search for yourself how much are PhD candidates paid in Spain
While I'm not one myself, I know PhD students here in the UK, and if it's anything like how it is here, then you have my sympathies...pay's definitely not great, putting it mildly.
If the info I saw on the Internet is correct, I earn about 500 euros less

I'm not doing it on my salary alone. I'm buying with my sister. We're both in the 8th decile in income...
... And even then we needed a 120k€ donation from our parents. I ain't earned shit through hard work.
It's crazy how expensive housing is... In some cities in Spain, they are starting to offer the possibility of BUYING ROOMS
It's very difficult to tackle the problem when more than 65% of the politicians in our parlament somehow get some benefit of this.
- A BIOS update broke GRUB yesterday, so I only have WIndows for now until I fix it.
+ Got an extremely good deal on an SSD and decided to by it (regardless as to whether my old one is broken or not, might as well have more storage).
From what I've understood, my PhD stipend is at the absolute upper end of what's offered here, and it's but a fraction of what I was on in my job (but unlike my previous salary, it's tax-free at least…)

The agony!
(For what it's worth I haven't used GRUB in years, I just boot the Linux kernel directly using the UEFI stub, then I have the BIOS boot menu if I want to boot something different )

Maybe I should just try this instead. GRUB goes way back anyway, and I remember using systemd-boot at one point instead. I'm still just using Arch right now, due to wanting to save time on having to maintain and compile everything etc.
EDIT: I managed to do that for now. I'll probably end up setting everything up again on a new SSD later anyway, but maybe just booting this way and skipping GRUB makes sense.
- should probably go outside. I’ve realized over the past couple days all my attention has been stupid discourse on this website that no one else cares about.
+ I’m starting to think for myself! My own opinions!
- the tumblr user in me is still showing. Getting defensive over opinions, and not being able to filter stuff. I guess I can learn to program to do that, but it seems rather pointless…
+ SCOTTLAND FOREVER!!!

+ I am thinking of messing around with VMs using old systems for fun. Once again, influenced by a certain someone, because it looks so fun to mess with.

I’m pretty sure I know who it is and it’s not me.
+ Screw it guys, I’m playing Rayman 3 for reals this time (as in I’m going to try scoring again). Switched to the PC version as it’s the only legit version I have and am currently in the Fairy Council.

- Attempting to reschedule my appointment. Problem is the reception is being very slow. The time limit is starting to pass and I'm now under 48 hours before the date Wednesday. I think it's too soon for me to see my psychiatrist but I don't want to incur fees for rescheduling.
