Re: Rayman: The Board Game
I know it's tempting to be cynical for cynicism's sake, but I'd also urge taking a critically reasoned view of the situation rather than immediately producing takes at a glance without observing the context. Yes, some of those samples don't exactly look good, but as the associated text states, these aren't final. Let's not be needlessly sour when we've yet to receive a proper look at the production items.

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
I think the figures look really cute imo, although I would of course love more detail. As these are just early samples, the final figures will almost certainly look a lot more detailed.

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
I really am hoping for the final figures to look a lot more detailed, especially given it's a great opportunity to have a great product on hand. Plus the figures is what really sold me onto backing the tier I picked for them.
Re: Rayman: The Board Game
I just started a procedure to retrieve my Gamefound account.
I know the email, I know the password, but the mail address has been blocked permanently for security constraint. So I have to go to support to switch it to a gmail account. I also had to do this for my GOG account as well.
But if the deployment of the games are due in december then maybe I won't have to change my mailing address.

Unfortunately the games are due to arrive in April-May 2026, just as we saw them report in August.Pirez wrote: Mon Oct 06, 2025 10:27 am But if the deployment of the games are due in december then maybe I won't have to change my mailing address.
Re: Rayman: The Board Game
Oh yeah, then it's definitely needed lol.
Fortunately the support has been extremely cooperative and therefore I have access to my account.
But to update the sending address you have to contact the board game creators directly. So let's do that

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
Looks like we've now got pre-production samples: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/fl ... ts/4507380

Have to say, the figures look pretty good.
Hey everyone!
We have plenty of good news to share! Over the past few weeks, we’ve received all our pre-production figures samples, and we couldn’t be happier with how they look. The level of detail and finish is exactly what we were hoping for. A perfect match for Rayman’s playful spirit.
We’ve made a few small adjustments based on these samples, and once they’re finalized, the factory will begin the tooling phase. Everything is moving smoothly, and the timeline we shared in our last update remains on track.
For those who missed them, you can check out our last two Journal posts for more behind-the-scenes details and cool info about our other games:
The HUB Vol. 4
The HUB Vol. 5
And as always, feel free to contact us, or join our Discord community to chat with the team and other fans. We’ll be back soon with even more exciting news — the adventure continues!

Those look beautiful, can't wait to get my hands on them next year (hopefully this year?)

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
I think given where we are presently with time, it's going to be next year.
As for the figurines themselves, looking at them closer...I can see the seam lines where I'm guessing they join the molded pieces together, was kinda hoping they might have done some post-processing there to better hide those, but it's not the worst thing. I do like the paintjob as a whole, but it is a bit flat, but I'm also nitpicking there. In general I think the sculpts are nice, and even if the paintjob might like some edge lighting, it's still a very nicely done job that captures the UbiArt aesthetic.

I see, so you've come to like Murfy after all?
These figures look pretty nice actually. Nice payoff for all the people who funded the kickstarter, at any rate.

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
Yeah, that would really suck if that were the case.
I don't see any updates on their Kickstarter page either.

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
I'd guess that's because there's no longer a way to pre-order the game since the Kickstarter and Gamefound campaign ended. The website was really only there for that purpose, so I guess it makes sense (even though the websites for their other projects are still up). Maybe it'll come back once the game is out?RayCarrot wrote: Mon Nov 10, 2025 8:17 am It appears the website doesn't work anymore: https://www.raymanboardgame.com/
I wouldn't be worried about that; they never used that website after the campaign ended, so I suppose it made sense to get rid of it. Besides, if the figure samples are anything to go by, I'd say the game and its backers will be alright.
Pretty much all of their updates are on their journal now, so I'd check there for updates if you're curious. There will be one this month, just like every other month, but we don't know when.Reese Riverson wrote: Mon Nov 10, 2025 2:32 pm I don't see any updates on their Kickstarter page either.

Oh nice, thank you for the link to their journal.
Which that is a fair point!

They posted a new update today for this month. They also got back to me regarding the website being down and said they fixed it

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
This is what they had to say about the board game in this month's update:

For those who are interested, the update announced that they'll be working with Maestro Media on a Brawlhalla card game! There appear to be figures involved, even though it's a card game, so that'll be nice for fans of that game. I myself have no interest in this (even though it'd be nice if they put Rayman in there), but I thought I'd bring it up for those who wanted to know.
In other words, there's basically nothing to say about the board game on the update side; then again, in a world where long delays and other complications are commonplace, sometimes no news is good news.FLYOS wrote:On Rayman, the mold fabrication is still underway at the factory. It’s a long and meticulous process, but everything is progressing according to plan. We’re also in discussions with Maestro Media to handle part of the retail distribution, which will allow us to expand the game’s reach worldwide. The game was showcased at Essen Spiel, where the response from distributors was extremely positive — a very encouraging sign for what’s ahead. We can’t wait to share new photos and production updates as soon as the factory has more to show.
