The ‘tfw’ topic

tfw you've lost so much weight that nearly every pair of trousers you own now needs to be pulled up regularly to make sure they don't slip down :oops2:

tfw the clocks go back an hour and you get home feeling exhausted despite that, mostly because you ate too much pizza. :oops2:

tfw you try to check a battery using a multimeter, then the multimeter's battery itself dies :mefiant:

To paraphrase a melodramatic quote:
You were the chosen one! It was said you would measure the voltage not lose it! Bring metrics to the fore, not leave them in darkness!

tfw you need to go to sleep but are making dated movie references...

Very relatable, and very infuriating too...

tfw it gets dark so early that you already can't wait until next spring, even though your birthday is next week.

tfw you slept about that much each day for the past two, and you still keep being tired anyway. :P

tfw you're asked for a photo for a promotion thing, dig one up from six years ago, and realize how much better you looked back then without even trying :oops2:

tfw you are in a similar predicament except you realise how much further your hairline has receded in those years. :oops2:

Honestly, part of me would be tempted to do the same in the other direction if it meant avoiding a receding hairline, though I've been fortunate enough it seems to not have to worry about that just yet.

TFW you really really need to get to grips with OOP...I can grasp the idea conceptually, but the mechanics and intrinsic nature of it still doesn't click to my brain.

At the risk of being a snob, why Rayman 3D? I rank it as one of the worst ways to play Rayman 2, it might not be quite the technical mess I heard Rayman DS was, but it's still a mess compared to the Dreamcast version it was derived from. I edited the RayWiki article with all my gripes and complaints after I'd ran through the game because it miffed me to see the game so badly represented on what should've been superior and more capable hardware.

tfw a port of a game rubs you the wrong way xD

In all seriousness, I don't fault you given there's not much else if you want to play legitimately, but I would strongly recommend seeing if you can try the Dreamcast version, it's much much better.

Can't afford a Dreamcast. Had the 3DS port because it was what I had as a kid back in 2011, before Rayman Origins released for the same console.

Rayman DS is worse because it's not only the graphics, but the soundtrack. The music is AWFUL, it sounds like it got bitcrushed and put through a hellish daycare that not even Rayman himself can escape.

tfw you had to explain why you have the 3DS port because it reminds you of your childhood and not being able to afford a Dreamcast makes you sound poor...

I definitely prefer the Dreamcast one by far over every version personally.

Trust me, if I knew where to get a Dreamcast, I'd play it after trying to find a copy.

tfw you now feel bad for apparently playing the worst version, even though Rayman DS is by far the worst...

You don’t need to feel bad! Everyone has their own opinions, and I think that’s awesome! Not a lot of people have the hardware to run the best version of the game, and that’s quite alright. Play what you want! No need for others to tell you otherwise!
