Question 23 : Megaman question - So you've got 6 Megaman games on the NES called Megaman 1 through 6 and you've got five Megaman games on the Gameboy called Megaman 1 through 5. How is this confusion handled in Megaman's home country of Japan?

Bonus question 1 : We now know there are 17 characters romanceable in the Mass Effect Trilogy. Name them all.

Oh my no. There are games in the X series that are on home consoles and other on handhelds.

A shot in the dark - they skipped the number 4 which is considered unlucky?

Phew, I was afraid that I would have to withdraw this question as well.

Indeed, in Japan the NES games are called Rockman 1-6, and the GB games are called Rockman World 1-5

Megaman questions may return...

Question 24 : What is the main gimmick of the game The Messenger?

Bonus question 1 : We now know there are 17 characters romanceable in the Mass Effect Trilogy. Name them all.

I'm making a complete guess, but is it one of those games that's narrative driven, and shown through the medium of a fictional IM client?

Really? No one wants to have a go? I didn't imagine that The Messenger was such a lowkey title. It's a blast.

Master, you're letting yourself fooled by the title. Understandable if you haven't played it, but it leads you miles away.

I'll give 24 more hours and swap questions.

EDIT : Time's up. The answer was : switching between 8-bit and 16-bit presentation and basing some (but very few) puzzles. It's mostly a retro platformer with a touch of humor.

Question 25 : How many times does Green Hill Zone appear in mainline Sonic games?

In the mainline games, is that 5 times? Sonic 1, Generations, Mania, Forces, and Frontiers (via Cyber Space)?

I vaguely remember Green Hill being a bonus level in Adventure or Adventure 2, but if it showed up in either or both games, that would mean that Ithasmore or Greengoop got it, so I’ll just stick with 5 and see where that gets me.

Point of clarification, there's games like Sonic Chaos that have a Green Hill, or Sonic Blast. When we say mainline games, are we strictly referring to the 16-bit Trilogy, (oh yeah and then we've got the modern 2D games such as Mania and Superstars) followed by the Adventure titles, Heroes, 06, Unleashed, Colours, Lost World, Forces and Frontiers? We're not thinking about games like the ones I mentioned initally which were Master System, or games like Sonic 3D Blast? (NOT to be confused with Sonic Blast. 3D Blast was a Mega Drive game, but it doesn't have a Green Hill IIRC and I don't personally count it as mainline, so I'm trying to establish the principle of mainline).

Also are we referring to Green Hill as an explicit level? I don't think Sonic Forces has an explicit Green Hill Zone, but Sonic mentions being in Green Hill (the ever infamous "Green Hill's looking a lot more like Sand Hill right now"), so would we count that from a contextual standpoint? Or because it's not explicitly Green Hill as the level title, that's not necessarily true? Then in the case of Frontiers, iirc Green Hill doesn't appear explicitly as a location. The Cyber Zone levels merely take on Green Hill's appearance, but they're not Green Hill proper.

Guess what I'm saying is, what are we counting as Green Hill in this case? And what are we counting as "Mainline" Sonic?

By mainline, I mean that it has story relevance within the Sonic lore. Fortunately, this includes pretty much every game that is a 2D or 3D platformer. I just wanted to exclude the Pinball, Kart or Party games.
