The 20th anniversary edition was fine all the way through. The HD version though, I have had an instance where I fell through the ground, then I had to go back to the main menu and load my latest save. I think this is a sign that it's likely fairly buggy unfortunately.
Cho-Choo wrote: Tue Nov 11, 2025 4:58 am I may not be a professional artist, but those are really good drawings imo, especially for someone who doesn't draw often.
You were able to give it your own charm, which i think is the most important part :D

[All of this reminded me i have a drawing i still want to finish coloring too, haha :oops2: ]
Thanks! Well I mean the later ones I tried to draw that weren't attempting to be 1:1 copies (which looked nothing like them) that were more original were at least plausible. Still, it takes me far too long to even draw that, and it amazes me how quickly people can draw highly detailed stuff in comraprison.
The Jonster wrote: Tue Nov 11, 2025 5:00 am That's what I said the first time too, these were great!

And come on, you guys know by now that I'm absolutely the weakest drawer out of everybody who goes to VC sessions, I'm really terrible at drawing even with a mouse.
I'm glad you liked them, but yeah I still think it's crazy how good some people are at drawing. I'm not able to put that much time into it and spend a lot more of my time with programming. It's also debatable if you think yours are the worst, I'm not exactly great at the game at all. :P

Played Ghost of Yotei just yesterday. I'm not really a fan of hyperrealistic games like this, and i rarely even play genres like this, but it's pretty fun! (And also beautiful! Might share some screenshots!) Just sitting here waiting for my controller to recharge so i can slay more baddies :hinhinhin:

Please do share some screenshots, I would love to see how the game looks like!

As for me I'm playing "Just crow things", a silly game about a crow on an adventure. The plot is literally this: she was about to go on a journey and other crows stole her shades that her mom gave her and she wants them back! Along the way she brings chaos upon the people she meets. It's really fun and cute :coeur:

Been playing Peak recently, I've been able to get to the last area before the peak, and it's honestly been really fun! None of my friends got it yet, so I gotta play alone for now. :/

I have been playing Worms games, i recently bought Armageddon on Steam and i play some fun matches with my brother sometimes.
I also play some quick matches alone in Ultimate Mayhem, it's not as fun as with two players, but it sure kills time when you're bored :P

I'm trying to complete Toonstruck (the point-n-click adventure starring Christopher Lloyd). It's fun, but frustrating in that almost every puzzle seems to be two-step. You figure out what needs to be done, go do it, only to be told that something else you haven't encountered yet blocks it, and you now must solve an additional puzzle before you can complete the main one.

Populous (NES) Unreleased
populous-main-large.png
Here's another Populous game, in NES Port. Obviously the game was never released to NES Port, however someone say that it is final build though. Just saw it on Games that Weren't site too.

I did played Populous NES port (unreleased), there are slightly different the original one such as SNES. the NES one has Rain of Fire ability.

So I've just finished the Metroid Prime trilogy for the run-up to Prime 4. And I think I can confirm...Prime 3 while an excellent game, doesn't really hold a candle to the first two when it comes to its structure. I've found myself getting a lot more annoyed this time with the constant interruptions to mark objectives, I understand the game's trying to be helpful, but it can get in the way when I'm trying to just make my way through. I actually got a game over because I got stuck trying to navigate through some fuel gel while also being hit by an enemy, while there was also text covering my screen about a new objective.

The only game over I got in this run, and it was to that, so I'm not exactly endeared to it. I also don't like how it lacks that sense of interconnectiveness that Tallon IV and Aether did. I know it's arbitrary having elevators between areas, but not being able to move directly to different areas like you do with the Gunship in Prime 3 encourages route planning and also means you can detour while moving through areas as part of your routing to pick up items. Since Prime 3 has you able to fly to wherever, there's less incentive to just backtrack as happenstance rather than through conscious effort, and I think my item percentage being about 20% lower in Prime 3's run versus Primes 1 and 2 is emblematic of that. I am curious to see how Prime 4 handles this, as it has an open area between the individual areas. While it doesn't seem like it'll be quite as zippy as Prime 3's Gunship to switch locales, I do wonder if having the areas be spaced out between an open zone will introduce the same problem with backtracking and happenstance.

In general though, Prime 3 is a good conclusion to the Prime trilogy, wrapping up the plot relating to both Phazon and Dark Samus. Gameplay-wise, outside of my issues with its structure, its still got the Prime (gettit) elements of the series, namely a very fine blend of atmosphere and intrigue. It's still fun to scan, explore and discover. The music is still on point, and it can convey moods like horror (Xeno Research in Skytown and the GFS Valhalla), suspense (sneaking around the Pirate Homeworld) and so on just as well. It's just diminished a little due to the excessive handholding.

Guess time will tell, one day to go...

As for me, I'm playing Dark Chronicle (Dark Cloud 2 in the US) on and off, and by god is it as tedious and boring as I remembered it to be.

Also on stream I've also been playing 3D Pinball Space Cadet and a bit of Skribblio, but only for shits and giggles.

I downloaded Rayman Redemption yesterday and I guess today will be the official day of my third try at beating the first Rayman game *takes a deep breath* If a fan remaster defeats me then I won't even think about beating the original, although if I beat it, I'll try to beat the original

I played through Redemption as well (and 100%'d it, though I may or may not have enlisted the help of cheat codes near the very end of 100%'ing it :oops2:), and I can say that the game is much more fair than the original. If you're only trying to beat the game (meaning that you don't care about cages, Magician tokens, etc.), you probably won't have hair-pulling trouble until Candy Château and the dreaded Bad Rayman chase.

The Magician bonus levels are more difficult, but usually not infuriatingly so... with one notable exception. :grrr:

Basically, the more optional things you're trying to do/obtain, the somewhat more challenging the game will be. Regardless of what you choose to do, I think you've got what it takes; third time's the charm, as they say!

I do care about the cages so that's a collectible I'll want to make 100% since I remember the original required them to unlock the final boss fight with Mr. Dark. Haha, I pulled my hair when I was fighting Space Mama at my first and second try and now, seeing that the boss fights are different in some parts, having additional patterns I kinda fear this fight
Wait a minute, the chase is even worse than crossing the water near Joe's? Because that's what I got stuck on my second try.

Oh, I tried the first Magician bonus and this already defeated me- Okay, point for you, I just watched the Pinpoint Precision level. I gave up seeing this

Thanks! I'll definitely talk here and there about my progress

Redemption's pretty goated. My only nitpick is that it's kinda really easy to tell apart the new content from the original. Be it sprites or soundtrack quality (all MIDI and uses the same few instruments)

Still a terrific game that I 100%'d twice. Maybe will try my 3rd time on Demise difficulty

I love the fangame too, it was one of the two games (alongside Fiesta Run) that made me go into the Rayman community.
As with the others, i 100%'d it, but only once.

True, but I like the additional content, it doesn't bother me that much. I played the Blue Mountains additional level Tempest Terror yesterday and seeing a small, snowman Rayman made me smile so much. He's very cute!

So in other words, it's your very first attempt of this remastering of Rayman 1, and not the actual game itself. Good luck!
