Spam is pointless messages that are no way in context of the original topic or discussion at hand.
 
Short Pointless Annoying Messages is the correct definition.

Now, explain why your message was not short, pointless or annoying...
 
Because it was a summarization of what I could say, but I didn't because the two words were enough.
 
'OK', no matter what you're saying with it, is spam.

If I demonstrated how to post thousands of messages by doing so, you say that wouldn't be spam?
