Let's just realise it: Mario Kart Wii is AWESOME. And the online mode is SMOOTH, even with my crappy internet. I can just go online every time i want, and have a good time along with other people all over the world. This is very unlike the lacking online mode in Mario Strikers.

I was thinking of buying it tomorrow... I'm going to have a look at reviews and gameplay-vids tonight and stuff.
 
If I was me and about to buy my own console, I'd rather buy a 360 than a Wii. But you have to make do with what you have, I guess.
Do you think I can get Mario Kart without the wheel? It looks like some complete bullshit and a waste of space tbh. I can see myself sitting in the cellar with that wheel steering and making noises. "Bryyyyyyym, yyyyyyyrrrrn, wroooooooooooooom, skreeeeech!"

Why should that be good? The Wii is awesome. What other controller can be used as a golf club, a sword, a pencil, a gun, a pointer, a remote, a fist and a wheel at the same time?
 
I've bought it now. Haven't checked my friends code though, but I've played a bit in single player mode, and it's fun enough. :3 (though I suck)
I'll check my code later this evening, the sun is shining right now outside, so there's other things I'd do rather than playing racing games.

The Wii controller is a gimmick, and the Wii hardware is pathetic compared to the 360 and the PS3.

1. Reading that was hard.

2. I've never said the Xbox360 is bad. All the consoles (PS3,X360 and Wii) are good in their own way.

The Wii controller is a gimmick. Most games made by other developers than Nintendo themselves have control issues. In some cases they are serious enough to completely ruin the game.
