well, every australian reality tv show is just a copy of an american or british reality tv show.

Actually, as far as musical brilliance, I'd have to disagree. Lordi is a bad example, but if any other Finnish metal band made it to the finals, no band from England could compare. And to answer your question, HC, I'm probably going to Finland for university, so I've grown to love the country.
 
We are the best. I admit the French entry was good, and it was funny enough to make me laugh. but at the end of the day, that, and all the other countries' entries were not as higher a quality in musical terms as England's entry was.
 
Actually, the musical quality of Eurovision is crap overall. Greece, Ukraine and Armenia had hot chicks, though, so they were 0rsum! :mrgreen:

All kidding aside, I've fallen in love with the place, and I appreciate it for what it really is. Still, I know it's not the most awesome place in the world if you're just visiting.

About the only good thing about the country (imo) is that metal is generally accepted there.
 
You obviously don't know much about Finland. And metal is not only accepted. It is the primary form of music, and Finland has the best metal bands in the world. Period.

I know a lot aboot Finland. I lived with a Finnish family for almost a month.
And Finland doesn't have the best metal bands in the world. (period :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: )
 
OK, well, I'll give you credit there. But still, you can't put down an entire culture just because it doesn't fit with your own ideals. And I admit, I'm biased, but as far as the metal thing, I have three words for you: Children of Bodom. I could list twenty other amazing bands from Finland that don't leave much room for competition. And that's just off the top of my head. Oh, and back to the first thing for one sec. Finland fits with my ideals. Let me enjoy that please.
 
OK, coming right up. I'll start with COB, simply because they deserve to be listed. After the top two, it's in no particular order.

Those are the only ones I can think of without looking through my iTunes library. If I did that, there would probably be a few more. The ones that are really amazing, though, would be COB, Nightwish, Lordi, Wintersun, Ensiferum, Stratovarius, Apocalyptica, and Sonata Arctica. It's not 20, but it's close.
