What do you want in Rayman 4?

not if i don't need to; you asked what GTA had to do with anything and i answered you with your own quote.

I asked what Kelvins post had to do with anything. Yes, i readed the previous posts. I just don't get his point with that.

GTA San Andreas is a huge free-roaming enviroment, but it is not a hub.

The hub is in the middle of levels, before you enter a level, you're in a hub, after you exit a level, you're in the hub.

San Andreas is, when you go to a level, you're already in the level, the whole place is the level.

San Andreas uses Cars anyways, Rayman doesn't.

wtf? did you get hit in the head or something? your acting about half as smart as usual, and that's really saying something.

A hub links to different, separate stages in a game. A totally free-roaming environment puts you right in the middle of where everything in the game is going to happen, just in different spots.

I think we should just make the game ourselves. A prototype or something. Then send it to Ubisoft, telling them that's what they should've done.

O.K., let's make a demo. So, is there anybody who can use DirectX or OpenGL for 3D modes?

Nobody?

You see, those libraries are way annoying. In terms of 2D, there is a thing called Allegro library. In terms of 3D, nobody did something similar.

I try to understand Allegro. If I do, I will maybe take a look at D3D or OGL. But, they are really for professionals.

Back to FR discussion: if you want to have a game that is actually one, big level, take a game that has it and tell us is it similar to good Rayman game. I want a lot of completely different levels.

RZ was already making a game.

Though until I knew it would be working out, I wasn't going to post about it here yet. It's already in here at PC though.

Errr... it is possible. But - I don't think it will cause something.

We have to start with 2D fangame. Sorry. Then - maybe 2,5D. And 3D - as last step.

YEAH! I KNOW! There should be Rayman 0 before R4, and it should be 2,5D platformer!

What is?

Well a few years after the disappointment of RRR and RRR2, and the soon to come RRR3, what would you like to see in Rayman 4? The real Rayman 4 and not some compilation of minigames that we call Rayman Raving Rabbids. Please share you opinion. :)

Razorbeard returning. I'd like to finish him off, and i like the robo-pirates as enemies.

Indeed, but i'd like to see them with some upgrades. eg:
Hooks can be fired and used as grappling hooks
jet packs like in RM
Ninjas shoot Shurikens instead of normal shots.

I'd like to see some of them with machine guns. Oh, and there should be black coloured, badass pirates, that Rayman can't destroy, unless he gets a special power. And a whole army of robot chickens like the one at the Iron Mountain.

I don't know about the black ones, seeing as Ninjas are already black. What about dark blue?
and the chicken things are called dinosaurs according to the PS1 version.

I call them chickens, because they look like chickens.
Anyways, i would like to see robo-pirates with all kind of stuff like Titanium armor, Night vision, Jetpacks (Like in Rayman M, but more powerful), Lasers etc.

The same kinda of game that we've been playing except with, Co-Op mode, a new more epic villain, returning Rayman 2 characters (and some of the Rayman 3), new characters made, and no fucking rabbids.
