Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Is it this clip with teensies escaping, something a'la "The War of Worlds" (Polish translation of Well's book's name), and rabbids going out of the something?

My sister's boyfriend has that song on his iPod. It's by Drowning Pool right?
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I know this was posted forever ago, but am I the only one who can't watch the original RRR gameplay trailer without silently pointing out which segment became which minigame? Just about everything in that video's actual gameplay footage made it into RRR in some way. I'm positive there would still be Shake-athons in the final wii version of the orginal RRR.StaceyW wrote:Aaaaaa
Either I'm the weakest weakling in the world or these minigames are really fucking hard.Maybe I ought to wait till my arms stop aching because they make the gameplay worse. It's no wonder people keep coming to RZ asking how to keep their kids from being frustrated.
Nice one Ubi, maybe you should have made a platformer instead like you PROMISED.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
You mean the boombox one, the flying on the dinosaur one.
I was going to show it on Youtube but, the video was too much hard work. :p
Anyways, on PC, I found out that on the BoomBox Minigame, playing with a controller, if you press rapidly with any of the button, they'll go into a rapid movement.
1. Rayman can Bicycle Kick.
2. Rayman can Kick Repeatedly like the Trailer
3. Rayman can do rapid Karate Chops
4. The normal button is the "Hulk Smash" movement, smashing into the ground from the trailer.
That's the main mini-game I play on.
Shake-a-thons, are used in the same way in RRR too, the running sequences, duh.
It's like, Rayman Raving Rabbids Wii was supposed to be a train-up for Rayman 4 Wii.
Or not. Let's all just face it, Rayman 4 was right aimed for the Wii which is stupid, Michel Ancel thought he could embrace the ultimate platformer from the Wii.
Thing is, there was a problem, some abilities in Rayman 4 was not a good thing to work with such as the Shake-A-Thons so ultimately, the project was scrapped for a Party Game.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
That is rather sad. But it's not really the gameplay, though, it's more the story and the universe I miss, at least... I think I'd be able to suffer myself trough some shake-a-tons to explore more of the universe.
You know the mini-game where you pull worms out of a rabbid's teeth? I have a hunch that the head of those worms were supposed to be Murfy, they were just re-skinned and given new bodies. Am I the only one thinking that? xD There were some other things I've noticed as well but I'm too lazy right now.

alright! let's pull murphys out of a rabbid's teeth!
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Here's my rundown on all of the gameplay footage in the trailer:
The bit where Rayman is fighting the Rabbid horde most likely became the boombox minigame (albeit more dumbed down)
When Rayman is running in the forest is the precursor to Bunnies don't like giving presents.
Rayman on the Spider appeared extremely breifly, but considering it was shown next to the eagle footage (which became Bunnies don't like bats) I'm going to assume that controlling the spider was a land variant of the bat controls, or possibly used the same controls as the hog racing sections (which according to screenshots were also in the original game).
Rayman throwing his fist to grab a Rabbid survived into the FPS minigames (really missed this feature in RRR2)
All of the costumes showed in the trailer survived into the final game, perhaps with more customization options
Spinning a grabbed Rabbid became Bunnies don't know what to do with cows
I don't think the ground pound (or any of the more extravagant fight moves for that matter) made it into the final wii version (I'll check it out though).
The dancing minigames survived, but I don't think the motion controls shown in the trailer were ever intended to be used in game.
The part I feel most cheated on though gameplay-wise was the Rabbid HQ This presumably stealth section looks like it came right out of a Looney Tunes short
