Re: Messages posted in a day record
I'm not a huge fan of vodka. Well, pure vodka. I like pure whisky or rhum, but I prefer vodka in cocktails
Re: Messages posted in a day record
I think cognac owns vodka by a mile tbh.
Re: Messages posted in a day record
In Norway, drinking-culture is to get senselessly drunk on whatever you can get your hands on, apparently.
Re: Messages posted in a day record
Dude rubbing alcohol owns everything!

Same here Limely. It's gotten so bad that 1) they've banned drinking alcohol on buses, 2) you have to look over 25 to buy a bottle in some shops, and 3) they may ban it in all public places. I've seen a pub in my town that's banned drinking on the outside tables, whut?

Re: Messages posted in a day record
It seems a large part of western culture revolves around the drinking of beer.
Re: Messages posted in a day record
Yeah, I know a pub in Winchester that's similar. They banned drinking and smoking outside (even though there is no roof shelter) because it's on the high street. A bit silly, I'll have to admit, but it makes some sense.I've seen a pub in my town that's banned drinking on the outside tables, whut?

Re: Messages posted in a day record
I went in this pub in Pleasure Beach last year and because of the smoking bans it was like you're in the alps or something. So FREEESHHHH
Re: Messages posted in a day record
Unfortunately I'm still too young to drink in a pub, but I'm happy they did ban smoking inside. I really can't stand that horrible smell.

I don't mind, as I also smoke during parties or in pubsXenon09 wrote:Unfortunately I'm still too young to drink in a pub, but I'm happy they did ban smoking inside. I really can't stand that horrible smell.
Re: Messages posted in a day record
I hate the smell of smoke. When people approach the strawberry-booth I work at with a cigarette in hand, I get nauseous and dizzy. It's that bad. And that's outside on windy days. >_<
Drinking is, however, not as big of a problem as drugs is in this city. It is apparently worse than in the capital, Oslo, the number of citizens considered. Even people who don't do drugs may easily get something funny slipped into their drink when out.
It's too easy to get alcohol here. Some guys in my class did a test when we were in 9th grade (14-15 years old) and they managed to buy alcohol at 6 out of the 8 grocery-stores they tested. On the seventh they did a mistake and bought alcohol-free and on the eight they were refused. You're not supposed to be able to buy alcohol here until 18, and even then you need a certificate to prove that you're that old.StaceyW wrote:Same here Limely.
