Rayman 2 PC demo... glitchiest game ever ?

I just installed and played the Rayman 2 PC demo, is it the glitchiest game ever ? Rayman is uncontrolable ? Is it my computer or is the game just very glitchy ?
 
I must've played the demo a thousand times, and I never even got one glitch. I think.
 
Try pressing 1.

It instantly sets your health to half-full. Very useful if you die. You can just press 1 and you're alive again.

Anyway, you're right. It is really glitchy.

In the status (health, no. of lums, no. of cages),it lists the lums which are in that level, but can't be found in the demo. Though, they show the cages which can be found in the demo.

If that didn't make sense, I'll simplify it a bit... It lists all the lums in that level, but only the 2 cages which can be found in the demo.
 
Maybe they where planning to only set two cages in the fairy glade first.

But i found a solution, go to the start menu and open run. Type in C:\UbiSoft\Rayman2Demo\Rayman2Demo.exe and click OK. Now the game works great !

If that doesn't work, check if you're running the game in compatibility mode, don't run it in compatibility mode.
 
I played it once, but it stopped after a while, and my computer got kinda screwed up. I can't change the colour of the window anymore. I have no idea how that happened.
EDIT: I just fixed it! :shock:
After all that time, i've fixed it!
 
Oh yeah!

I just remembered that in the demo of Rayman 2, the controls are different if you use a controller, but they are the same if you use the keyboard.

I pressed what is normally the jump button on the controller and the camera rotated! :oops2:

How is this an answer to my question? :roll: It seems quite obvious that it wasn't available on the internet in the first place :|
 
Funny, i use Windows XP Home and it works well...

I installed Windows 2000 on my old desktop and it works better then excellent on that one tough :?

The game's stability largely depends upon video card/OS settings.

For example, I can run it just fine on 32-bit Win Vista, but on this laptop (64-bit Win Vista), the full game doesn't seem to want to install.

Meanwhile, back when I had a Radeon 9100 video card in my computer, I had to use the N64 ROM, because the PC version ran too fast and the textures were blurry. Then I got a Radeon 9600 card, and all was fine.
 
That is mainly because of your drivers. You should have tried first to edit your driver settings or to download a newer version of the drivers. It should work just fine then without having to buy a new graphics card.

Oh, and old software like the Rayman 2 PC demo might be incompatible with a 64 Bit operating system. Since the memory addressing is different ( a 64 Bit notation is used ) as far as i know, and programs that use many memory control functionality might get confused.

It's actually the speed of the GPU, for the most part. Pok2 did quite a bit of testing for me as well, and well, neither of us came up with a solution until I just gave up and got a new card. Tonic Trouble doesn't work on the same GPU either (cards besides 9100 included that share the same unit), apparently.
 
The first time I've tried the DEMO was around 2000, I had a Pentium III computer with Windows ME and it runned perfectly... Also for joke I've tried it again months ago (X'DDD) and it still worked as the same thing as before. 8)
