Well they were all really long so I wanted to break them up into different subjects, sorry about that.

However, there's something I'd like to add:
syntheticgerbil wrote:As far as I know the ones on PC CD, Saturn, and Playstation are all identical. They were all released about the same time. The Saturn one probably runs the best of the consoles because it's made for smooth 2D graphics over 3D. I don't know where you guys got the idea that they have different music tracks.
Actually, there are several differences. I don't know about the Saturn version, but I can tell you that the PS version features foreground sceneries (which can be annoying as they sometimes totally hide Rayman), a different resolution (640×480 vs. 632×400 for the PC version), a huge present in the world map and many differences through the levels, such as the position of cages, enemies, etc. There are even a few levels, for example the first map of
Bongo Hills, which were entirely changed in the PS version.
That's all I can think about, and I haven't finished the PS version yet, but it sure is different

Wow, I guess Ubisoft is a very busy company making so many versions all the time. Now that you mention it, I wonder how different the Saturn version is in comparison... And I wonder if the PC version adds things or takes them away...

@syntheticgerbil: That was awesome of you to tell us so much! I thought you may be able to give us a little info about 2D Madness 2, but...WHOA! I can't believe you typed that in less than 24 hours!
I'm a huge Rayman fan and seem to go through tons of versions as I get rid of some of my consoles and end up rebuying the Rayman games a lot. I wish I could figure out how to unlock 2D Madness 2 though. I think the Gamecube stuff was added on by Ubisoft Shanghai so I don't know who would know.
spiraldoor wrote:Hey, I just thought of something...does R3 for GBA have a secret 1000th lum, like nearly all versions of R2?
EDIT: syntheticgerbil, did you do
this?
I'm a little bit hazy but I'll check later for you and confirm on my GBA, I'm at work right now... I didn't write that walkthrough, but I do remember unlocking Mega Havoc 4 and then I'm pretty sure by beating that you get a level where there is only one yellow lum. That walkthrough seems right and I'm pretty sure there are 1000 lums.

I don't remember what the posters name was and Ubisoft or hackers or something erased all the official board archives. It would have been around 2006 it was posted though.
