Should Rayman have a new look soon?

I think Rayman's good as he is in his current look, and that it might stay the way it is now. Many game characters keep getting newer looks but at some point it stops, like With Sonic the Hedgehog, I haven't seen him change anymore either. Same case with Mario aswell.

I'd love to see Rayman on Xbox360 <3 So much freakin' detail....

EDIT: But I hope game developers don't go too far with making characters look realistic. They are, cartoons....

LOL the only change I've seen with Mario recently is the detail in his dungarees. :P

Ahh yeah, they have gotten more realistic. But that's all of a change I've seen recently.

There would be more detail on PS3. And RRR1 is on 360, but somehow I don't think that counts.

Sonic the Hedgehog
In every major game, Sonic is going taller. I have seen a funny sketch with comparision of his appearences and, at end, only legs (rest above picture), with text like "Future target".

In Sonic 360 they explicitly said they made him taller so he'd fit in with the humans. I think he was the same size Adventure 1 through Shadow though.
EDIT- The only two characters I can think of getting new looks recently have been Spyro and Crash. Spyro was done because it was a new dev house with a new art style, and Crash was done because his old design couldn't animate well with the fighting moves that were the emphasis of Crash of the Titans (then every other character got a redesign so the new Crash wouldn't look out of place).

Keep Rayman cartoony, as well as Sonic, Spyro, and Crash  High detail is only needed in shooters like Crysis

Well, 2D is beautifull in my opinion. Look at Rayman 3 GBA or Rayman Raving Rabbids GBA. They where both 2D and had wonderfull graphics ^^

Well, it's a great platformer and it has good graphics. A Party game like Rayman Raving Rabbids doesn't fit in a 2D perspective tough.

I didn't really have a problem with the game itself, only the fact that it ruined Rayman's original style.

And that he was always out of breath, that really annoyed me. The music was crap too, and he had "costumes" -_____-'''
Rayman RR DS was better. Bad, but better.

Personally I thought those unlockable costumes were pretty crap indeed. The ones in Rayman 3 were complete ownage compared to those of RR. Still love the SR outfit.

I've always loved the claw one ^___^ It would be cool if there would be a Rayman game where you can create your own limbless charcter and pit them against each other.
