Rayman 3 scores

Oh heck I'm not looking forward to TSBTC. I need to play it some time because I am missing 11,000 points or so. All three parts are going to be absolute hell for me, I can foresee this. Last time I played the level, part 1 went pretty bad and I could only get 15,000 points. Part 2 was equally infuriating because it took me ages to get through and once I did, I lost 5000 points because of the combos in the last room. And part 3 took me yonks to fall into the green gem, and the special glitch described in the solution never occured for me.

Yeah it's going to be a nasty period when I decide to play TSBTC again.
 
TSBTC is a horrible level. I was lucky that I managed to get the green gem after an uncountable number of hours doing the snowboard trick but I always failed at part 2. The highest I ever got after the second part is 55000, a ridiculous score. In the end it was enough to get 104700 but I haven't played TSBTC since then and that was 4 years ago. Therefore I consider it my weekest level, not by score but by playing skills.

FC part 4 is easy to me. There are three major combos: The Matuvu-Combo, the André-Combo and the Tribelle-Combo. All three of them are not that hard, only the Tribelle-Combo might cause some problems because it's the last combo and it takes a lot of time to get to the end of this part and it's quite annoying if you play an excellent game up to that point and then fail the last combo.
 
I have a question. Is it possible to first kill the hoodblaster in TDOTK Part 1 and then break the pigs and collect the gems ?
 
Do you mean the one guarding the gate? If yes, I don't think it's possible. There might be enough time to get to the piggy banks before the combo runs out (I'm not sure, I've never tried) but the HMF doesn't hold long enough to crush the gate, kill the first Hoodblaster, get to the central plattform, open the piggy banks and destroy the second Hoodblaster. However, it might be interesting to investigate whether there is a chance of getting both Hoodblasters in combo after the piggy banks, for example using a launching glitch to get to the upper plattform. I don't think it's possible but it would be worth 360 points.
 
No, i mean the first hoodblaster on the passway ( before the last helicopter can ) But this is indeed a verygood idea, the combo would hold it if you'd drop to the platform with the first hoodblaster but the HMF would not. So this is indeed not quite possible but maybe we'll get little more points this way, if we only miss some points with the HMF.
 
@sfn: It often happens that when I'm in Part 4 and I'm ready with the first 2 combos, I fail the next combo (with the slapdash). Well, I've got problems with the mushrooms and these little enemies on them.
@Joshua: When you mean the Hoodblaster on the passway, of course it's possible :wink:
But I've got an other idea. Maybe it's possible to manage the big combo

That combo is fairly easy to me. I manage it about 3 out of 4 attempts, which is not a troublesome quote. My only problem in this part is to combo the Tribelle for 2000 points. I almost never fail to combo it for 1500 but one of the yellow gems bugs me immensely because it's necessary to jump at an exact spot to even have a chance of continuing the combo.

I think of skipping the knaaren glitch. It is to hard to trigger for me and i can't stay in DOTK Part 1 for ever. I'll check for this when i'm going tfor a maximum score. Currently i wan't more then 85 000 in TDOTK. That should be achievable without the knaaren glitch. But then i'm going to have a hard time in DOTK Part 3 tough. The vine and Matuvu combo must go perfect.
 
Yeah, I interchanged the topics. Well, I could do everything for the Razoff-Glitch. When this annoyed me so hard, maybe I'll play an other level.
My points are good, but I want to fast as possible to come to 800.000.
@Joshua: I think you can also get 108.000 without the Knaaren-Glitch.

Trust me here, it's far better to do the Knaaren glitch and leave the vine combo and the Matuvu combo in part 3 than vice versa. You need to find the right spot to get passed the Knaaren and once this is done, you should be able to proceed to part 7 without too much trouble.

@ mostwanted: I tried this but I'm not sure it's possible. You see, you lose 3000 points in failing the Knaaren glitch and these points are very hard to earn back.
 
You're right as well, but PC-Players can use the DTUCC's Trick with the red can in part 7. I don't know, Josh, you're playin' on PC, right :?:
 
That glitch can occur whatever system you're playing on, I think. I tried it and only got it working a few times, but I didn't get launched high enough to break that cage. In my opinion, it's more of an ordeal to trigger this launching glitch than to do the Knaaren glitch, especially so because part 7 is a nasty part as it is.
 
I have a bigger problem now, i have 1600 points after the two first combo's but now after the combo with the hoodblaster on the passway i need 3000+ Points right, i only get 2730. So i need to lure the hoodblaster near the pigs ( and give him 2 shots with the electric claw already ) but i don't know how this should be done :(

And i play on PC.

Buit i already think there is an easier way. Ever watched the Youtube video touch the knaaren ? ^^

To get 85000, none of these combos are necessary and I wouldn't recommend you to do any of them, either. It's more than enough if you focus on a reasonable 4th and 7th part and you should easily get 85000.

@mostwanted: 108000 without the Knaaren glitch? Theoretically it might be possible, but only on the console version and it would be too hard to try because it requires both Matuvu-Combos and the vine-combo in part 3, the launching glitch in the 7th part and finally a good conversion from the black lums. It's too far-fetched to even try.

@Xenon: Actually, the Knaaren-glitch is worth almost 5000 points, 4500 solely for the green gem.
 
@Joshua:Well, this is a big problem for me as well. I think it gives no special trick but try it when you destroy the pigs, fast get the gems, then when you near by the Hoodblaster make Rayman rolling, and send a curved shot with the Rstrg-button.
@sfn: I know it's hard, I never managed by myself and you need to play the other parts perfectly, but it only was an advisement.
 
@ sfn: Yeah, you're right. I only counted the green gem combo points earned, forgot the rest of the combo and the normal points.

If that's the case, I'd say it would be impossible to make up those points. There just simply aren't enough points available in parts 2-6, and the transformation of Lums in part 7, even if converted to maximum value, still wouldn't give enough points I think.
