Rayman 3 scores

It's great that you finally made that video, thanks. It seems that videos of a TV screen have a better quality than videos of a computer screen. Hunch's video of the first combo in DOTK already indicated that but this seems to prove that point. However, it's great to have a video of this combo despite the mediocre quality and I will try it one day but I'm still struggling with TBOM.
 
I will play TBOM after SBTC, but I still have problems there. I hope I can lap you after my SBTC-Round, but I'm sure you will finish TBOM first.
 
I think he is still stuck in Part 5. His problem is to manage the Razoff-Glitch, like me.
Well, my next targets are:
Summit Beyond the Clouds: 112.000
Fairy Council: 43.800
Bog of Murk: 96.000
Longest Shortcut: 42.500
It'll be hard to realize, but I really want to get 830.000 still this year.

And I offer you my help as I make videos, you're all waiting of more videos of FC, I know ( :P ), but when anybody has problems with something, I can film other, too.
I'm no compitition for MandM (which has already over 40 videos on YouTube), but it's great fun to turn videos, and even more when I know, I can help anyone with one combo.
 
@MandM: I'm still stuck with part 5. However, I have a question: What is the maximum score in part 6? It's important to know because I still have an alternative in mind. It might end my frustration.
 
When you’ve got the HMF you can hit Razoff five times before the Can is destroyed. When you have hit him five times, renew the HMF, hit him again and quickly renew the HMF before the Can is destroyed. Get him in place and hit him again with the last series of hits from the first HMF. Repeat this with the next two Cans.

As for the points there are different strategies. I try to get as many points as possible before part 6 so I can “relax” in this part. I then choose to play like this:

2-2-1-2-2, which means I hit him two times, two times, one time etc. It is safe and he practically never falls of the ball that way. Each of the first three Cans are worth 600+600+200+600+600 = 2.600 points.

The last Can can be played as 2-2-1-4 for 2.800 points. Thus the total score is: 3x2.600 + 2.800 + 3.000 = 13.600 points.

If you are able to make Razoff stay on the ball when you hit him three times, the scores are quite different:

Can 1 – 3: 2-3-3-3 for 3.600 points
Can 4: 2-3-4 for 3.000 points
Total: 16.800 points

As for the maximum score, I believe this last score to be close. Maybe you can hit him five times in the end instead of four, but I don’t know if he dies if you do. If so, you will lose the combo points from the last combo.

I have made a video of the last Can played as 2-2-1-4.
 
Thanks for the detailed explanation. I have a very old savegame on my Memory Card with 84000 after part 5 (that was when I managed the double glitch for the first and only time). I might consider continuing with part 6 on this savegame if I keep struggling with the Razoff glitch. The only disadvantage is that I would have to replay several levels which I have weaker scores in on that savegame and I don't know if I have the time to do that.
 
@sfn: In my opinion playin' on the old savegame is only profitable when you play on Max-Score. And I don't know whether you want to play the other levels again everytime. I would only do this when it's really the last possibility.

I still don't get what that is. What is the razoff Glitch? Explain please.
 
@mostwanted: I won't stop TBOM with less than 99900. But you're right, it will be a last option. However I might consider alternating between the two parts. That way I have different challenges and keep the frustration at a lower level and when I finally manage the glitch I have enough practice to finish part 6 quickly.

About SBTC: I can't help you, sorry. SBTC is rather my weakest level.

lol, holidays always worked well for me but I won't make a break now as it wouldn't change anything. I'll just continue playing, that's the only thing I can do.
 
Ok, but which level will you play next?
Well, I swallowed the bitter pill and I finished Part 2 with 87.100 Points. It's indeed stupid I didn't finished with a score >88.500 and I have to make every round 5 minutes the snowboard trick, but I can't wait to finish the combo with the Launching-Glitch and the whole SBTC. Hope I can reach a score of 110.000 even when it will be very hard, because of - ya know- the most stupid green gem --.--
 
Yeah! I made a small improvement in FC and thus increased my overall score to 851.131 points. :mryellow:

The next milestone for me would be 852.000. Wonder if I can find the points...

Congratulation for that outrageous score, MandM :up: :teuf:! With which combos you had done it? With the old oder new Combos?
I can remember very good you stand once with 750.000 in the Hall of Fame^^
Well, I'm desperatin' for the green gem. Creepy idea from Ancel that he put the green stone so strange in the air!
 
Thanks! The improvement was actually down to an idea from sfn. I used to get 7.800 points in the last part, but he mentioned another way of finishing this part, so I now got 7.990 points. Also, this time I didn't get hit by the Crab in part 4 :P

The green gem is insanely difficult to get in SBTC part 4. Just be patient. Bye the way, did you manage to jump to the upper level on the scaffolding in part 2? I just now saw you asked about that. In any case, I can't really say more than I already mentioned in the walkthrough. It's just about jumping right and high enough. Good luck with the green abomination in part 3. :bad:
 
Ah, I forgot this. It seems that you next time will get 45.000 when I could manage the combo in FC, Part 4 again. And when we find a way to get the Tribelle in an 2.500-Combo :)
Well, thank you also for your wishes in SBTC for me. The Launching Glitch I manage in 3/10 times, but the green gem - Well, I think I don't have to add to this :wink:
And no, I didn't manage the jump. Thanks for your explanation, but I still desperatin' on this. I only got an fair score after Part 2 (these 87.100) because I played a good part 1.
 
Congratulations, MandM! There aren't many levels where you can get more points, as I suppose you have certainly reached the maximum score in most of them. Maybe it's possible to get more points in TOTL, with that combo Xenon was talking about, but it sounds totally crazy indeed.
By the way, now that I'm finished with the Land and the Desert, I'll follow Xenon's advice and play TOTL, but it seems much harder, especially because the first parts are really long. I'll start playing soon :)
 
Yeah, I think it's an good level to reach your next max score, how I said. I mean, who can reach 119.599 in LOTLD and 109.769 in DOTK is able to get 104.499 in TOTL :P The only difficulty is part 1, especially the first combo, you're right. But I think Part 2 & 3 are much easier :wink:
Well, I made an video for the first combo (middle - hard variant). I upload it on YouTube.
Before I forgot this: A guy explained he was able to reach 105.999 in TOTL, because he comboed the first piggybank with the green gems. I personally think he was lying, but maybe it's a possibility.
