Rayman (Game Boy Color)

Look at this. Just look at it. It's a disgrace. Twenty-three screenshots of the final fight in the GBC version, zero of the real version. The detailed description of the final fight doesn't even mention the fact that it's of the GBC version. This is unacceptable. The GBC version of Mr Dark should have a paragraph, at most. Not this. :|

Really and truly these should be in the Gallery section rather than their own gallery for each encounter. They're cool pics and everything but yeah, I think there are too many and I may pick a few off.

I'm supposed to take care of it, but I must finish Picture City and the Caves of Skops first.

Here is the rewritten article : Mr Dark. All it needs is some more screenshots from the original game.

What's all that about Mister Dark transforming? That's just a theory as to why his face was used next to the health bar, not a fact.

That's what I've always heard and what I also happen to find the most logical solution. You can always imagine everything you want but I don't see why Mr Dark's picture would appear next to the life bar if it wasn't him Rayman was fighting. Just sounds as logical as saying that Mr Sax is Moskito in disguise to me.

It would have been odd if the first hybrid had a Mr Skops icon, the second ones had a Space Mama icon, and the third one had a Moskito icon.

A Mr Dark icon just makes more sense, as it's the game's final battle, in Mr Dark's lair.

I don't think we should allow something as insignificant and trivial as the choice of icon on the health bar of a boss to affect our views of the game's canon in such a way.

Also, could he actually transform into two Space Mama/Moskito hybrids at the same time?

And the way you can see the hybrids' faces would be very odd indeed if they were Mr Dark.

*My opinions*

If you have another theory supported by less insignificant and trivial facts, feel free to tell us about it.

Perhaps Mr Dark created them by mixing the actual body parts of the previous five bosses?

Evidence which points to this: the hybrids look like they were created by mixing the actual body parts of the previous five bosses.

Space Mama and Moskito both appear twice?

My theory is that he just summons jumbled up creatures in the same way he summons Bad Rayman.

Although most people do believe that he transforms, I suggest that in the article it should mention both theories and note that there is no certain answer on the matter. The current article states speculation as though it were certain fact, which it isn't.

I thought it was pretty clear for everyone that the very first boss in the game isn't Moksito, but it's already been discussed anyway.

This would have been more logical if there was the same animation too.

You're totally right, but you must keep in mind that everything is speculation as concerns the interpretation of a video game. For example, there is no proof that Mr Dark isn't Moskito in disguise and that his transformations (or summons, whatever) are not extraterrestrials who have decided to take over Rayman's world and reduce its inhabitants to cheesecake. It's not a question of truth, it's a question of likeliness, and we usually refer to the most believed theories. It's just that I see no argument supporting the summon theory, but if someone can find one and edit the article in consequence without screwing it, it's fine.

That's true, but those things are totally ridiculous, whereas the idea of him summoning creatures actually makes sense.

Anyway, even if the summoning theory isn't mentioned, I do at least think that the transformation theory shouldn't be stated as certain fact.

It was just an exemple to show that there are no certain facts.

Actually, nothing should be stated as a certain fact. But I get your point, feel free to edit the article the way you like it.

What about the whole thing where those five windows in the background glow? That doesn't really make sense, whatever way you look at it...

Also, if the developers wanted us to think that the hybrids were Mister Dark, I don't think that he would fly up and then appear from the right side of the screen like that. They would have shown some kind of transforming animation.

Perhaps, but if they wanted us to think that Mr Dark mixed the body parts of the previous bosses, it would have been more logical to show a mixing animation. I'm afraid there's absolutely no way to prove or disprove any of these interpretations.
