I'm afraid not. Onomatopoeia is a word that imitates the sound it is referring to, with more or less fidelity. Do you know any cats that really say “meow”? If you still doubt it, I invite you to check
this article from the French wiktionary.
Still, I can't believe I'm debating over the word “prout”.

The pr0oO group was created on RZ before the pr0oOuT group was created on PC though.

It didn't work very well, no. Some boons were provoked by it though and were given official warnings for flaming later I believe.
