I'm afraid not. Onomatopoeia is a word that imitates the sound it is referring to, with more or less fidelity. Do you know any cats that really say “meow”? If you still doubt it, I invite you to check this article from the French wiktionary.
Still, I can't believe I'm debating over the word “prout”.
 
By the way, this leads us into thinking that the founder of the pr0oOuT group actually knows some French.

It seems odd to me that Prout is even on this forum. Was he a guest who saw the pr0oO group and then registered to be an anti-pr0oO or something?

It makes that sound when most other people fart too. Well, except for small farts.

The only reason why FCY disapproved of such special ranks was because he thought his was the most awesome ever, and he didn't want a rival.
