He means the type of thing where you reload the page and a video is randomly selected from a list of videos that could appear. Like, say you set up videos 1-10 to be a part of this. You load it once, it might select video 6, reload it, maybe it's video 4, again, video 10. They'd be pre-selected videos that would be randomly chosen on the page load.

eBay Partners is a good idea. This entire website is about a product, and people interested in the product will be the ones viewing our site. Maybe they have all the games, maybe not. Having a list of ongoing auctions right there, though, could interest them enough to decide to buy it for themselves.

In case of player, small question. Maybe frames would be awful, but isn't it possible to:
1) Use something with instance contact ability for player.
2) Use a special kind of link that causes "pop-up" or new card effect.
3) Make both players connecting and swapping information about song.
4) Make first player killing its window.
?

I hope you get the idea.

A RayTunes player should appear in a seperate window when you click the "RayTunes Player" button on the Portal. Then you could post in the forums etc. while listening to the music.

Also, I think RayTunes and RayWiki should have links back to the Portal.

I've performed a few tests, and I'm afraid it's not possible to have a RayTunes player, for bandwidth purposes.
As concerns the embedded videos, I'd rather have a video of the day (or video of the week, whatever) than a random video. Of course, someone would have to take care of it.

RayWiki does. But you're right, we should add one on RayTunes.

Hey, how about a page that shows the top 10 posters here at PC? I remember there used to be a topic that dealt with that, which was lacking in updates.

Or one that shows the top 10 most active members.

Forum Hall of Fame: displays the top ten members in terms of posts, Tings, boon score, etc.
It's already in the list!

Woops... I overlooked that. :oops2:

Boon score?

Let me guess, you are developing a mod that is like a rating system that the Pr0oO group uses to rate our boon scores and it keeps record of it in our profiles?

I'd be in both of them too. q:

Any thoughts? I really kind of like the idea actually, and it'd work well with the product the entire site revolves around (plus encourage those interested to give it a whirl). And a little extra cash for doing so never hurt, eh?

Well, it's not necessarily an indicator because Beebop's PPD is pretty high, but he isn't very active anymore.
Maybe if only the posts within the last month were used though...

A better indicator would be:
activity.png

P is the set of the messages posted by the user, Tf the current timestamp, Ti the user's registration timestamp, and T(p) the timestamp of the message p. It is a post count weighted by time: basically, the coefficients follow an exponential decrease in function of how long ago the message was posted.

um.....ok... well then.... do that...I guess......

By the way Hunch, this isn't relevant to updating the portal, but...

Do you think we could have a 24-hour clock? Nothing overly important, but I guess it would be easy to do and it looks cooler.

(And speaking of clocks, are you going to put a visual analog clock on the portal? :hehe: )
