Upcoming Games

Yeah! Next Jak and Daxter game, but where's PS3 version?

You know, i think the reason is quite obvious. You see, Jak is a game meant for the young. And most of the time the young don't have the money to buy a PlayStation 3. They only have the money for a PS2 or PSP. But, i think that this game may work under emulation on the PS3.

The young also have parents, who, in turn, have money. I see no reason why this shouldn't be on PS3, but since there's no "4" in the title, it may be a side-story game, rather than a full-blown sequel, which will most likely be on PS3 if it is ever made.

Anyway, Uncharted 2 is going to use 100% of the PS3's power and will have the best console graphics ever. Except GoW3, of course.

Uhm, maybe your parents do have that kind of money, but mine certainly don't have it.

Jak and Daxter : The Precursor legacy didn't have a "1" in the title too, but it was certainly not a side story game.

Really? It's not even a lot - about three or four hundred euro. I bought mine myself for six hundred in 2007.

Ok then. I'm not too familiar with the Jak series, as I've only played Jak 3, so I wouldn't know.

I found something:

To make a great game you’ll need inspiration, and the ideas that come with it. So here’s a question, what was the inspiration behind the sequel to Beyond Good & Evil?

When speaking to French gaming website All-Gamers, Beyond Good & Evil creator Michel Ancel candidly revealed the his inspiration for the game’s sequel.

“There were a lot of inspirations: the Miyazaki universe, my own inspirations, politics and the media; the theme of September 11 - the CNN show with army messages and the fear climate. And it was a mix from other universes,” Ancel told All-Gamers.

He continued talking about the game in general;

“Yes,” he said, when asked if BG&E2 will be a direct sequel. “But it is better to discover that when you play, ha ha! But it is clear we want to continue the story - we won’t create characters, story. The story continues and we’ll react on important events of the first.

I'm in absolutely another kettle of fish.

My parents have money, however they're not sure what should they buy me, so they give me notes instead. However, they're not enough to buy everything, and because of that I'm really confused what should I buy. In addition, parents are used to my computer games - and especially the separate monitor (so they can watch their movies while I play something), when most of consoles use SCART or HDMI. Well, HDMI is present in newer monitors - but if I'd buy one, it would be incompatible with my old GPU, so I would be forced to buy whole new PC. ARRRR! In case of handhelds, I have a portable DVD player (from these money), so multimedial possibilities of PSP aren't appealing to me, and DS... well, DSi has no GBA support and DS has no DSi support.

So you see I'm in a circle of errors.

Stan, maybe you should buy an LCD TV. They usually have both SCART and HDMI, And, you can always get a HDMI to DVI converter. They're not to expensive. I think you can get one for about 20 dollar on online shops. There are HDMI to VGA plugs too, but these are very expensive ( around 80 dollars ). But then you could always buy a HDMI to DVI plug and then plug the DVI output to a DVI to VGA cable ( Most video cards ship with at least one DVI to VGA cable )..

And you can always hang a new GPU in your computer.

Well, I see your point - the main problems are:
1) LCD TV would cost around 3'500 PLN, while I have about 6'000 ones. This is.... enough for console, PC and games, but a TV...
2) If my parents would sell their TV, they would still need to pay the tax which goes to the National TV.
3) I CAN'T buy a new GPU as my card uses some kind of forgotten standard.

Maybe if you'd save for a while...

ISA ? Are you using a Pentium 2/3 processor ? In that case, you should at least have AGP. And there are still many AGP cards around. My motherboard from 1999 has one AGP 4x slot. And there are still PCI cards around like the Geforce 6200.

What I really wanted to see is a Rayman 4 but, if I don't compt that, I'm waiting for SPORE's first expansion: "SPORE: Galactic Adventures". :)

There already is an expansion for spore, it's called Creepy 'n cute. Here's some more information

But that one just contains parts. Galactic Adventures is a lot more than that.

I really want creepy and cute btw, but I'm trying to resist giving in to EAs new money-cow.

Oh I have that, it's a Extras Kit and not actually an expansion, but thanks for saying it anyway. It was kind from you. :)

Oh, excuse me then, i'm not really in to spore. I can see why you like it, though, the concept is very good. I own the original spore too, but my computer's a little to old to run it ( but maybe i'll mod it to run when i'm experienced enough ).

Mario RPG 3 and Zelda Spirit tracks for the DS!! :)
Zelda spirit tracks is done in fall 2009
Mario RPG 3 is for download NOW (Japanese version) but i want the english version :P

I really, REALLY can't wait for this, and its DS counterpart. The pirates still can't make a playable ROM of the DS version yet though. :<

I love how a once-minor character now has his own Microgames.

Isn't that DSiWare ? If so, good luck getting a ROM of that to run on a DS Lite. It most likely needs the DSiWare software to work. :(

No it's Wiiware. And probably the first WiiWare I'll ever download when it comes out here, since I don't like the look of everything else.

As for the DS version it's DS Lite compatible. Still looking for either a fix or a fixed ROM though to play on emus, I've no time and money for all that flash card stuff yet.
